Geisterbustour durch York

We loved the ghost bus tour! Our conductor Arachnid Black was superb! Perfect comedy timing! We had so many laughs, a few scares and also learnt a lot! The bus is awesome and very smoothly driven by Bob in spite of ghostly events on the journey. We recommend this if you want a fun and informative experience with a lot of laughter! The events of the Clifford Tower however, were treated with appropriate respect and solemnity.

Good tour, funny and informative. The guide was funny and engaging but at times we couldn’t hear him due to quite a few people being drunk and drinking on the bus.

When I booked this I was expecting something a bit spooky with lot's of laughs and learning history about York. I did find out a few facts I didn't know despite visiting York often but other than that I was quite disappointed. The guide tried her best with funny banter but it just didn't seem to flow and felt quite wooden. There was nothing scary about it' and I'm easily spooked. It' was better than staying in watching Tele but truthfully that's all I can say about it. Get there early as it's a free for all for seating and not forced to be able to sit together.

We had seen a lot of recommendations and had read reviews so had high expectations. Firstly the guide was fantastic, stayed in character and was amusing. The bus stop/bus was easy to find outside the train station. We were asked to be there 15 minutes before our departure time, which we were and the bus was already nearly full so choice of where to sit was limited. You are sat within very close quarters of everybody on the bus, your personal space is non existent, so be wary of this if it is something that may bother you. We went on the 9pm tour which had pros and cons to it. Felt a little more in keeping within the theme to go when it was getting dark, but by the time we were finishing it was so dark you could not make out many of the sights that were being pointed out and spoken about. There is a point where you all have to get off the bus and you are walked into Shambles and given a brief bit of information. We felt this was unnecessary and could have been given the information on the bus. I am glad I managed to get a bit of discount on the price if I had paid the full amount I wouldn't have felt it was worth it.

This was a fantastic way to see more of York and enjoy some ghostly tales and laughs along the way. John was absolutely hilarious and keep us highly entertained the whole time. There was never a dull moment! Thanks to John & Bob (our driver) for such a memorable birthday trip 😊 . We would go again!

Thought this would be fun for the family on a short stay holiday to York. We are a spooky family and seemed light hearted enough for my youngest (9yrs) gruesome for my 13yr old and scary enough for the adults! DID NOT DISAPPOINT AT ALL! From the moment we got on the bus and was welcomed with a “hope you have a horrible time!” We knew this was going to be fun. It was, can’t recommend highly enough, it was fun, informative, historical and interactive, I got possessed by Margaret! I’m fine now but that’s all I will say as I don’t want to be the spoiler alert here. Book the tickets and go have a laugh, our guide was fantastic! So was Bob!!

Brilliant. Had a really good laugh. Enjoyable without being silly scary. A silly level of scariness that is enjoyable for all ages. Good fun. Would absolutely recommend and would do it again

Absolutely brilliant. Cannot recommend this enough- informative, lively, hilarious, and unique way of learning more of the city Bring some cash to be able to leave a tip- I rushed to the cash point. It’s very deserved as the team are excellent.
