Reiseverlauf

Very few seats have a good view. If it is rainy, which it often is, then much of the boat is cold even inside and the window seats are taken up right away. I highly recommend the Golden Train or similar where everyone is much closer to a window and a view. Otherwise might as well take a ferry and stay in your car.
Due to bad weather (thick fog, rain) with a 9-year-old girl we did not risk continuing by car, we notified them to cancel and they have not replied.
We are sorry, but we do not cancel bookings due to rain. In cases of very dense fog or other conditions that significantly affect visibility, we may offer guests the possibility to change their booking. However, this decision is made by us based on local conditions and operational assessments, not by the guest. As we did not cancel the activity, and no alternative was offered at the time, our standard cancellation terms apply.
New shiny boat, lovely views, a lot of space, perfect timing - not too long, not too short. Take best seats straighr when you enter.
It is a lovely experience. One should arrive in good time to make sure that they get a parking spot.
Booking is easy and fast. You receive very clear emails to indicate where to park and where to take the boat. Take the influx of tourists into account to park without stress. The cruise is nice, although we were not able to enjoy sunny weather...
Modern ship, very nice and attentive staff. You can see the main attractions of the Geirangerfjord. Unfortunately, the announcements on the upper deck were hardly audible, as a tour group from the Orient was very loud. This slightly dampened the joy.
The silent cruise is a fantastic, quiet and serene experience with beautiful scenery. However, we did check before booking if the boat was wheelchair accessibility. Although we were assured that it was accessible, this proved not to be the case. The ramp onto the boat did not touch the quayside and was held up on blocks which wasn't ideal for anyone but impossible for a wheelchair user. Three of the crew actually lifted the wheelchair onto the boat, with my husband in it. Whilst this was fantastic of them, it should not have been necessary. There was no access to the upper deck. Surprisingly the ramp did fit onto the quayside on the way back. As we have used many public ferries in Norway which have been wheelchair accessible, this was a disappointment on this tour.
Thank you for your feedback. As this is a brand-new boat introduced this season, the boarding ramp required some modifications after we started operating. The necessary refit has now been completed, and the new ramp is in place. We sincerely apologize that you experienced the temporary boarding arrangements and understand that they may have been inconvenient. We appreciate your patience and are pleased that the issue has now been resolved.
In addition to the audio guide, the captain provided explanations on deck and answered questions.
Good weather is half the battle. The live report on the way back was very interesting and in very good English.
Definitely worth going. The guide told us a lot of interesting historical things, he was interactive and cheerful. The fjord and waterfalls are unique. Very quiet engine indeed.
