Geführte Sightseeing-Kajaktour in Danzig

I had a wonderful time on my kayak tour around Gdansk. My tour was a last minute booking, but it ended up being the highlight of my stay in Gdansk! Since no other participants joined the tour, it ended up being a private tour. After a 30-minute safety/instruction briefing, my tour guide and I started kayaking. Since I'd only ever kayaked once before, it took a bit of getting used to at first, but within no time, I was thoroughly enjoying myself while also being able to see Gdansk from a different perspective. The kayaking part of the tour took about 2 hours which I think is the perfect amount of time, particularly if you're not an experienced kayaker. My guide was friendly, clearly explained everything, provided interesting information about the points of interest we passed and, to top it all, took great pictures of me (from her own kayak no less!) which I received a few days after the tour. Very highly recommended!

The kayak tour went very well. The group was small and manageable with six people in three boats plus the tour guide, and the weather cooperated with sun and clouds but remained dry! Also suitable for beginners.

Incredible experience! Nick, the guide, was lovely, knowledgeable, & fun! The sights were amazing - The perspective from the water offered another layer of appreciation to such a beautiful city! Well worth every penny.

Had a fab time on a tour with Michel. Really interesting to find out about the city and very relaxed with time to ask questions. Being in the kayak was great fun even if the waters were a bit choppy at times! Full explanation given and felt really safe at all times. Bonus of photos sent to you after. Really recommend.

A really great experience! A bit of exercise with great view of the city. Guide was amazing. He knew a lot of the history and interesting stories.

Great trip - great guide - a lovely way to see the city!

It was a fabulous experience. And, as would be expected, it does require a degree of maintained physical exertion. The waterway has other watercraft traveling by, and depending on windiness of the day and the speed and size of other craft, there can be some waves.

I had an absolutely incredible morning kayaking the Motława River, and I cannot recommend this experience enough! If you want to see Gdańsk from a unique perspective, this is the way to do it. ​The Route & The Vibe ​We started our journey at the historic shipyards, which provided a powerful and industrial backdrop before we paddled our way toward the heart of the Old Town. The transition from the towering cranes of the shipyard to the beautiful, reconstructed architecture of the city center was breathtaking. ​The Guide (Mikey) ​A huge thank you to my guide, Mikey! She was fantastic, not only was she a great lead on the water, but she was also incredibly informative. She made several stops along the way to explain the history of the sites we were passing. It was sobering to learn just how much of the city was destroyed during WWII, but equally inspiring to hear how it was meticulously rebuilt to preserve Polish history and heritage. ​The Experience ​Even with the weather being a bit temperamental, 70 degrees and quite windy with rain on the horizon, the trip felt safe and exhilarating. Mikey’s knowledge added so much depth to the paddle; it felt like a moving history lesson. ​Ask for Mikey if you want a guide who truly knows her history! ​An absolute highlight of my trip to Poland. An interesting and unusual way to get to know the city and the river. A friendly and knowledgeable guide (thanks, Nick!). A great trip. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The equipment and the staff were top quality. We had a very good guide who was knowledgeable about the equipment and the city. The safety and use of the equipment was explained well and not in a patronising manner. Very enjoyable tour down into the city and also around the back waterways.
