Suchen Sie einen Tagesausflug außerhalb von Addis Abeba? Ein Ausflug zum Wenchi Crater Lake ist eine gute Wahl, um Ihren Wochenendurlaub zu verbringen. Der Wenchi-Kratersee liegt 155 km westlich von Addis Abeba zwischen Ambo und Weliso. Ein erloschener Vulkan, dessen Spitze 3380 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel liegt, ist ein Krater mit einem großen See, heißen Mineralquellen, Wasserfällen, wunderschönen Tälern und Ackerland. Auf einer der Seeinseln befindet sich ein altes Kloster mit einer Kirche.

Wir fahren von Addis Abeba nach Westen zum Wenchisee. Auf dem Weg nach Ambo und Welliso, 155 km westlich von Addis Abeba, war dieser See ein erloschener Vulkan (dessen Spitze 3380 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel liegt), den der Krater enthält Ein großer See, heiße Mineralquellen, Wasserfälle und wunderschöne Täler sowie Ackerland und das Kloster von Kirkos und das Tal der heißen Quellen. Nach dem Besuch kehren Sie nach Addis Abeba zurück. Später werden Sie zu Ihrem Abflugort gebracht.

Ethio Travel and Tours were were friendly and professional to deal with and felt like a great local companion to help plan my Ethiopian experience. I had the same guide Biruk and driver Fakr for several tours and they were fantastic: capable, informative and friendly. Wonchi lake itself is beautiful and absolutely worth the trip out from Addis. The gorge walk particularly was some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen anywhere. Would thoroughly recommend Wonchi Lake and Ethio Travel and Tours
Very long drive. 4 hours there not 2 hrs. So 8 hours in total. The lake is beautiful but only there for around 2 hours including lunch. If the description had been accurate I would not have booked as 8 hours in a car is not fun in 1 day.
Albeit long the destination was worth the travail getting there. Took a boat ride on the lake to an island there. There was road construction on the way slowing our progress but hopefully future travelers will have smooth roads. On the way back we were stooped by military authorities who apparently were displeased by our speed of transport. After looking at our passports and hearing the driver's explanation that this was a tour we were given permission to continue back to Addis Ababa. I would live to add photos of my trip but my phone was stolen on my last day in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
The day trip to the lake Wonchi is amazing the lake was so beautiful and was really agreat place for refreshing. Ethio Travel and Tours have done a wonderful job on this trip.
