Bei Tagesanbruch beginnt der Ausflug zum Humantay-See in Peru seine magische Reise. Pünktlich um 4:00 Uhr holen wir Sie von Ihrem Treffpunkt ab.
Von hier aus beginnt unsere zweistündige Reise mit dem Ziel Soraypampa als erstem Ziel.
Als wir um 6:00 Uhr morgens in Soraypampa ankommen, erwartet uns ein prägnantes, aber reichhaltiges Frühstück. Dieses Essen bereitet uns auf den bevorstehenden Ausflug vor. Frisch gestärkt durch das Frühstück beginnt unsere Wanderung in Richtung Humantay Lake.
Auf einer luftigen Höhe von 4.200 Metern oder 13.780 Fuß gelegen, ist die etwa 1,5-stündige Fahrt selbst für Hartgesottene eine Herausforderung. Aber beharren Sie darauf, denn um 9:00 Uhr offenbart sich der Reiz des schimmernden türkisfarbenen Wesens des Humantay-Sees, verstärkt durch die majestätische Kulisse des Humantay-Berges. Genießen Sie an diesem ruhigen Ort Momente der Ruhe, machen Sie Fotos und genießen Sie die ruhige Aussicht. Gegen Mittag beginnt unsere Rückreise nach Soraypampa.
Gegen 14:00 Uhr können Sie sich auf ein köstliches Mittagessen im Soraypampa freuen, das unseren Körper revitalisiert. Dieser Stopp bietet auch die Möglichkeit, sich mit Snacks für die Rückfahrt einzudecken. Unsere Abreise aus Soraypampa ist für etwa 15:00 Uhr geplant.
Unser Ziel ist es, dass Sie sich am frühen Abend, gegen 17:00 Uhr, in Ihrem Hotel in Cusco entspannen und an einen Tag voller unvergleichlicher Pracht zurückdenken.

One of the best experiences was certainly the excursion to the Humantay Lagoon. The place alone is incredibly beautiful, mystical. But what made the difference was not having to worry about anything else: from the very beginning, everything is thought out so you can really connect with the environment. Service was much more than attentive. The transfers were punctual, without any inconvenience and quite comfortable. Breakfast and lunch included were served in a place with beautiful views (something that is appreciated when you go for a good hike). Throughout the tour, the guides were super attentive to each person in the group, explaining patiently, giving encouragement and making the experience enjoyable and very safe. You rating the love and dedication they put into it. It’s not one of those impersonal agencies: here they really make you feel welcome. I very much appreciate the humane treatment, the super positive energy and the professionalism. If you are looking for a local, close and authentic agency to visit amazing places like Humantay (and many more), I definitely recommend giving them a try. I wish you every success in the world. Magical Cusco travel agency is the best for these tours. They always care about your well-being and you feel dull. Knowing the Humantay lagoon leaves you speechless, it is a challenging and tired path, but when you reach the top it is an incredible sight. Looks like something out of a movie. Guides help you take amazing photos and tell you how this lagoon was discovered.
We took a private tour to the humantay lagoon. Our guide and driver picked us up in ollantaytambo (which is rare. Normally departures are from cusco) First of all, mario is a great driver 🤩 and John a wonderful guide. Listening, patient and so kind. He taught us a lot of things. Then this hike to the lagoon is fantastic. Believe me, it deserves 💪🏽 Thanks to you two, it was perfect.
Lake Humantay was a beautiful, albeit touristy, destination that I highly recommend to those visiting Peru. We did this instead of other lake options farther out from Cusco. I will say the company was a little more difficult to work with than others I used on this trip; I didnt hear from them with any details until the afternoon before we left and that was after my emailing for confirmation a few times. Our tour guide was great though!!
Pros: -Karen, the tour provider, was fantastic and very responsive with chats. -Sandro, the tour guide, was amazing and really made the trip enjoyable. - On time pick up OK/Average: -The breakfast and lunch were alright, but drinks were not included. -Humantay Lake was alright. If you've been to Banff National Park, Banff is probably better. Cons/Can be improved: - If you have motion sickness, probably consider not taking this tour. The road is very narrow and has a lot of turns. - It's a bit long to get there. - There's a lot of horse manure on the hiking track, so be careful. - Altitude sickness: Please be aware and bring your oxygen. - Drop off isn't in the hotel. Instead, in the city hall.
Christian our guide was great!! Super happy we chose to do this instead of rainbow mountain! Hike itself was tougher than expected because of the high altitude, especially on the last portion which was about 65 degrees incline. Total hike about 4 hours round trip, coming back down was relatively easy. The view once you get to the top is amazing and rewarding. Keep in mind there is a chance fog could damper the view significantly so try to plan around the weather if possible but it’s unpredictable. Also, the reservation told us 9AM pickup at our hotel but we got a text at 2AM to prepare for a 4AM pickup which thankfully woke us up in time. So confirm with them in WhatsApp prior. Overall, totally recommend this tour!!
I recently went on Humantay lake Trek with Magical Cusco Travel Agency and it was an amazing experience.
