Reiseverlauf
Ende unserer Dienstleistungen.

This was a great way to spend the day. We saw great scenery and lots of animals. The walk through to the lake was beautiful and fully boardwalked so no super muddy shoes.
Fantastic tour. Organiser/agent picked me up from overnight bus. Guide was great - enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Amazon rainforest environment. He was also very adept at steering the boat in the lake - made a big effort to get us close to the animals. Tour was great value for money and included a lunch (rice dish) which was good quality
Pick us up at the hotel's pier at 10am, take a 25-minute electric boat ride to Lake Sanwar and kick off the day. The tour guide was conscientious and saw monkeys, spiders, caiman crocodiles and lizards.
3 km board walk each way but once at the lake we saw monkeys birds cayman otters piranhas Bring a hat and sunscreen and water
The tour itself was decent. Similar to description, you take a 45 minute boat to the island, then hike for about 1 hour, then canoe inside Lake Sandoval for a few hours with a lunch break in there, then hike back, and boat back to Puerto Maldonaldo. We saw trees, birds, and monkeys. The company picks you up from hotel/airport, but you are on your own getting back to hotel. They gave a chicken with rice wrapped in a tree leaf for lunch, but no drinks. I was sick (flu) during the trip, so I didn't eat it until I got back to hotel and the canoe part got me dizzy and i had to lie down the last half of it. That sucked, but not the problem of the tour. Only weird part was the tour guide never once checked on me. I didn't expect him to, but felt kind of weird he didn't.
Great discovery with our guide who really knew what he was talking about. Very interesting explanations. Although I understand a little Spanish, I was the only French and wanted to know if I understood and translated some words to me. Thank you to him and this amazing visit
Very nice small group excursion with pick up directly from our hotel by boat. Our guide was perfect and introduced us to the fauna and flora of the lake. Contrary to what we expected, no mosquitoes In addition, with a very good value for money. We recommend
A very pleasant day through the jungle, along the Madre de Dios River and Lake Sandoval. The Gonzalo guide has made us enjoy the environment, if flora and fauna. We saw some animals We had rain but very relaxing inside the canoe. Carry umbrella or water poncho 👍.
It was OK, nothing special. Not a bad excursion, but maybe overrated based upon the other reviews. The "walk" was on a boardwalk through the jungle which was fine but no sighting of any animals because it is so well traveled. It was not clear that we would be returning the exact same route versus an alternative route back. The lunch was delicious. Our guide was great Being out on the lake was HOT! with no cloud coverage. Lower your expectations and it will be enjoyable.
Our guide Silvestre (hope I got the name right) has really an eagle eye and was able to show us many incredible animals. He also explained how the ecosystem works and how different species behave.
