My friend and I enjoyed the Tour, it was very informative and Mr. Hassan is an excellent guide! Three cheers for YahooTravel!! Thanks!
This tour was nice and pleasant. The guide spoke English well and went through the History of Kairouan and El Jem. He was very knowledgeable. The trip does include a water plant but this is part of the history of the City of Kairouan, there is no beach nearby so they need water area for kids to go swimming as well. The Mosque is nice and has all the old History. The guide does take you to a carpet shop where they try to pressurize you to buy a carpet but you can insist on not buying. One thing that did disappoint me was that the tour said that water and tea/ coffee is provide and included but we had to buy ourselves. Hence why the 4 star. El Jem and the Colosseum is awesome. The third largest in the world. Well worth a visit. Although I must admit you could get a cheaper excursion in Tunisia but you have the added safety of booking through a reputable company. Overall, i enjoyed the trip. Food was included and we had the added benefit of a Private taxi and tour.
This was a pleasant day out, could not understand why we went to a water plant, as they are common in britain but must be something to be proud of in Tunisia otherwise an interesting day. Shopping unpleasant if you do not like to barter. Was prepared for some attention from shopkeepers but they actually filled you from shop to shop. Would have liked to buy some items but was put off by the level of harassment.
