Sie haben auf dieser Reise volle drei Stunden Freizeit im Fischerhafen von Whitby, um Whitby Abbey (Inspiration für die Dracula-Bücher) zu sehen, die Captain Cook-Attraktionen zu besuchen, etwas Whitby Jet oder Gothic Fashion einzukaufen, Fish & Chips aus dem berühmten Magpie Café zu probieren oder einfach nur den geschäftigen Hafen und die Uferpromenade zu genießen – Sie haben die Wahl! Unsere erste Station ist der Kilburn White Horse Hill an der Grenze des North York Moors National Park, wo Ihr Guide Ihnen die Geschichte erzählt, wie er 1857 in den Hang gehauen wurde.
Wir halten dann in der malerischen Marktstadt Helmsley, wo Sie die mittelalterliche Burg besichtigen, die malerischen Geschäfte erkunden oder in einem der Cafés ein gemütliches Yorkshire-Gebräu genießen können - Sie haben die Wahl!
Nach Helmsley fahren wir durch Hutton-le-Hole in das Herz des North York Moors National Park, um einige Fotostopps einzulegen, vorbei am Lion Inn aus dem 16. Jahrhundert auf dem Blakey Ridge (dem höchsten Punkt der Mauren) und Ralph's Cross Sehen Sie im malerischen Yorkshire-Dorf Lealholm die Trittsteine über dem Fluss Esk - eine großartige Fotomöglichkeit! Es ist dann nur eine kurze Reise nach Whitby, während Sie Geschichten über die Geschichte der Küstenstadt von Ihrem Reiseführer hören, der Ihnen auch die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten erzählt, die Sie vielleicht besuchen möchten.
Wenn Sie in Whitby ankommen, machen Sie einen kurzen Stopp bei der Captain Cook Statue und dem Whalebone Arch auf der West Cliff. Besuchen Sie auch Whitbys neueste Attraktion, The Endeavour Experience (eine von nur zwei Repliken des HM Bark Endeavour in Originalgröße), das Captain Cook Museum. Sie kommen im Postkarten-Dorf Goathland an (Drehort für „Aidensfield“ in der Fernsehserie Heartbeat und „Hogsmeade“ in den Harry-Potter-Filmen), wo Sie die Drehorte erkunden oder sich einfach ein Eis holen können der Dorfladen - Sie haben die Wahl!
Wir verlassen Goathland für unseren letzten Stopp, um die atemberaubende Aussicht auf das Hole of Horcum zu genießen, bevor wir nach York zurückkehren.

Chris was an excellent guide. The private Mercedes van was clean and comfortable. Chris’ historical knowledge was great and he adapted the tour based on our wants and timeline. It was the right mix of guided and alone time

Absolutely fantastic day tour. Whitby was amazing. So too were the Heartbeat and Harry Potter highlights. Our guide was excellent and very informative. Small groups, we only ended up with 3 on our tour. Was told they never cancel for anyone, unless it is not possible for them to drive. I highly recommend them. Wish I had more time to do their other tours.

My husband and I went on the tour, and it was so much fun! Our tour guide, Mark, was super knowledgeable about everything and was a great photographer for us! We saw so many cool sites and heard some amazing stories. If you get the chance I'd highly recommend checking out the Abbey in Whitby. It was such a cool piece of history and was so neat to walk around!

Great tour and a very informative guide. Beautiful scenery and plenty of time to stop for photos. Whitby is a great place for fish and chips and we enjoyed the Magpie restaurant. Travelled back via Goathland where Heartbeat was filmed and a real treat at the railway station when the Nigel Gressley passed through. A great day out and would highly recommend it.
