Eine anspruchsvolle Wanderung in einem sehr ungewöhnlichen Teil des Tijuca-Waldes, einem der größten Stadtwälder der Welt. Auf diesem Rundweg wandern Sie ca. 5 Stunden, 10,4 km (6,5 Meilen), mit einem Höhenunterschied von 848 m (2.670 Fuß) und Entdeckung der Natur und Schönheit des Dschungels. Erreichen Sie den Taquara-Hügel (814 m = 2670 Fuß), der 100 m höher als Christus Erlöser liegt und an klaren Tagen einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Tal des Waldes und die Stadt bietet. Besuchen Sie Höhlen und auch Ruinen von Kaffeefarmen. Erfrischen Sie sich nach der Wanderung an einem Wasserfall* (Handtuch/Badeanzug mitbringen). Halten Sie auf dem Weg zum Park an einem weiteren Gipfel an, um Fotos zu machen und die Landschaft zu bewundern. Die Landschaft dieser Tour ist atemberaubend mit Natur und viel Abenteuer. Sie erfahren auch mehr über die Geschichte Brasiliens, des Waldes, der Kaffeeplantagen dieser Gegend und der Wiederaufforstung im 19. Jahrhundert. *Die Strömung an den Wasserfällen variiert je nach Regen. *es fährt auch nach Vista Chinesa, aber nur an Werktagen (an Wochenenden/Feiertagen ist Vista Chinesa für Fahrzeuge geschlossen)

Im Tijuca Forest National Park besuchen wir einige der berühmtesten Sehenswürdigkeiten wie den Taunay Waterfall und Vista Chinesa und machen auch unsere Rundwanderung (ca. 9 km), vorbei an Wasserfällen, Gipfeln und Gipfeln mit herrlicher Aussicht die Taquara-Burg (814 m).
Auf dem Weg zum Tijuca Forest National Park fahren wir am Canoas Summit vorbei und aus der Ferne können Sie Pedra da Gávea und Pedra Bonita sehen, die eine hübsche Landschaft bilden.
Im Hauptsektor des Tijuca-Waldes verbringen wir den größten Teil des Tages. Wandern Sie auf einer Rundstrecke tief im Regenwald, erleben Sie die üppige Atmosphäre, passieren Sie Flüsse, Wasserfälle, Gipfel und Höhlen und erfrischen Sie sich am Ende in einer Wasserfalldusche.
Der Taunay-Wasserfall ist der höchste und berühmteste Wasserfall im Tijuca Forest Park. Bevor wir mit der Wanderung beginnen, schauen wir vorbei, um die Schönheit zu sehen, die Frische zu spüren und ein paar Fotos zu machen. (Schwimmen in diesem Wasserfall ist nicht erlaubt, aber nach der Wanderung besuchen wir einen weiteren Fall, in dem man duschen kann).
Wir fahren an dieser charmanten, kleinen und niedlichen kleinen Kapelle vorbei, die 1850 erbaut wurde, als der Tijuca-Wald eine Kaffeefarm war.
Dies gilt als eine der schönsten Aussichten in Rio und als einer der wenigen Orte in der Stadt, an denen Sie Christus-Erlöser und Zuckerhut in den gleichen Rahmen stellen können. Es befindet sich nicht im selben Bereich des Parks, in dem wir die Wanderung machen, aber wir halten dort auf dem Weg an, um die Aussicht zu überprüfen und ein paar Fotos zu machen.

We had a great day hiking in the rainforest around Rio with Gustavo. As well as a guide we got a history teacher, geography teacher and naturalist all in one. He also takes great photos! It is a full day with a lot of uphill so you need to be reasonably fit but the pace was perfect with plenty of stops. Really good communication from Anna when booking and the day before the trip.

Riccardo was the perfect tour guide. We were a group of three people and he shared many interesting insights about the forest and its history, was always very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. Compared to the half-day tour, this excursion also includes a hike to a peak with two incredible viewpoints (about 300 meters of altitude difference, starting at an altitude of about 500 meters). I would completely recommend this tour if you're interested in leaving the touristic areas of the forest, where all the half-day tours go to, and would like to dive deeper into the forest.

If you're in good shape and up for a challenge, I would highly recommend this hike. Our guide, Gustavo, was kind and thoughtful, giving us lots of interesting information throughout the hike but also allowing us to walk in silence sometimes and just experience the forest. It started to rain lightly at one point, and he was prepared with ponchos for us which was really nice! He also helped us navigate around a tree that had fallen over the trail, which was a bit of excitement. Note: the hiking pole Gustavo offered at the start was KEY for me as the trail became slippery. Even if you're an experienced hiker, definitely consider it because this hike is already challenging and a little bit of rain can make it even harder. Pack yourself a nice lunch and enjoy the views!
