Bei dieser Wanderung geht es nicht nur um atemberaubende Ausblicke, sondern auch um Geschichte und Spiritualität. Wir beginnen die Übernachtungswanderung auf den Mosesberg, wo es heißt, dass Moses die Zehn Gebote empfangen hat. Pünktlich zum Sonnenaufgang den Gipfel erreichen und von der atemberaubenden Aussicht auf die Sinai Berge staunen. Danach machen wir uns auf den Weg hinunter, um das alte Katharinenkloster aus dem 6. Jahrhundert zu besuchen und die Kapelle des brennenden Busches zu erkunden ⛰ – ein heiliger Ort, der seit über 1.400 Jahren steht. Pass ist erforderlich.

Danach machen wir uns auf den Weg hinunter, um das alte St. Katharina-Kloster aus dem 6. Jahrhundert zu besuchen und die Kapelle des Brennenden Busches zu erkunden – ein heiliger Ort, der seit über 1.400 Jahren steht.
Wir beginnen die Übernachtungswanderung auf den Moses Mountain, die Wanderung zum Gipfel dauert in der Regel 5 bis 6 Stunden pünktlich zum Sonnenaufgang und lassen uns von der beeindruckenden Aussicht auf das Sinaigebirge überraschen.

Terrible. The driver had a bad attitude, Rafiki were useless, our guide lost half the people so the rest of us had to wait for ages and missed going to the library. A proper Sg1t Show
Amazing trip very helpful hosts in Rafiki Hostel fully recommended. They made my day great in Dahab including the hike.

We booked a Mt. Sinai hike through Rafiki Hostels and received confirmation from their team. This is an overnight hike that begins around 10:00 PM, meaning you’re already mentally and physically preparing for a challenging, sleep-deprived night. When we arrived at the meeting point, we were shocked to learn that Rafiki had no record of our booking. We stood around from 10:00 PM until 12:00 AM, exhausted and confused, only to be crammed into a small uncomfortable car with no proper arrangements for our group of six. There was no apology, no explanation, and certainly no refund. It was a disorganised mess that turned what should have been a once-in-a-lifetime experience into a stressful ordeal. Given the nature of this hike — overnight, physically demanding, and requiring good preparation — the lack of professionalism was unacceptable. I strongly urge other travelers to avoid booking with Rafiki Hostels.
I was staying at Rafiki Hostel and took part in some activities they organised, which was amazing. They organized everything, picked the group up, and dropped us off. They organize not only day trips but also general social events! Highly recommended for solo travelers.

I did the Saint Catherine Hiking with Rafiki in Dahab, it was a great hiking, beautiful, with good company, beautiful landscapes. If you go to Dahab it's one of the best things to do.

This was my second time staying at Rafiki Hostel, and once again, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The people here are incredible! Roba stands out as the coolest and best event organizer, Reham is an amazing chef, Abdulla is the laid-back, chill guy, and Gouda brings endless laughs with his great sense of humor. The events are fantastic, especially the Mountain Music event at St. Catherine—it’s truly unforgettable. The privacy is excellent, and the overall vibes are just perfect. I highly recommend staying here, and I’m already looking forward to my third visit!
