Das Heilige Tal der Inkas ist ein Ort voller alter Inka-Ruinen. Am beeindruckendsten sind Pisac und Ollantaytambo. Beide Bauwerke bestehen aus riesigen Steinblöcken. Diese Tour führt auch zu den Salinen von Maras und zur archäologischen Stätte von Moray.

Wir holen Sie um 6:40 Uhr von Ihrem Hotel ab. Wir verlassen Cusco um 7:00 Uhr morgens. Unser erster Halt ist die Stadt Chinchero. Hier werden wir die archäologische Stätte von Chinchero besichtigen.
In 25 Minuten erreichen wir dann die archäologische Stätte von Moray. In Moray gibt es mehrere kreisförmige Terrassenfelder. Einigen Historikern zufolge nutzten die Inkas diese Bauwerke, um Pflanzen aus wärmeren Klimazonen anzubauen.
Unser nächster Halt sind die Salzminen von Maras, die 25 Minuten von Moray entfernt liegen. Die Salzminen umfassen Dutzende quadratischer Brunnen mit Salzwasser. Diese Brunnen sind mit Salzwasser gefüllt, das aus dem Untergrund stammt. Nachdem das Wasser der Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt war, verdunstet es und hinterlässt das Salz. Anschließend wird das Salz von der örtlichen Bevölkerung gesammelt und auf dem lokalen Markt verkauft.
Nach der Besichtigung der Salzminen von Maras fahren wir weiter in die Stadt Urubamba. Urubamba liegt im untersten Teil des Heiligen Tals, daher ist das Klima dort etwas wärmer. Wir werden hier ein Mittagsbuffet genießen. Nach dem Mittagessen besuchen wir die archäologische Stätte von Ollantaytambo.
Nach dem Mittagessen verlassen wir Urubamba und erreichen nach 30 Minuten die Stadt und den archäologischen Park von Ollantaytambo. Ollantaytambo ist bekannt für seine langen Steintreppen, die zum Hauptbereich der Anlage führen. Genau wie Pisac war auch Ollantaytambo ein königlicher Palast der Inka. Wir werden auch die Stadt Ollantaytambo besuchen, wo Sie Souvenirs kaufen können.
Nach der Besichtigung von Ollantaytambo fahren wir 1 Stunde und 30 Minuten mit dem Bus zur Stadt und zur archäologischen Stätte von Pisac im Heiligen Tal. Die Stadt Pisac ist ein gemütliches Dorf am Ufer des Urubamba-Flusses. Es gibt dort einen traditionellen Markt, auf dem man Souvenirs kaufen und die lokale Küche probieren kann. Auf der anderen Seite befindet sich die archäologische Stätte von Pisac auf einem nahegelegenen Hügel. Es besteht aus zahlreichen Steingebäuden, die einst die Wohnhäuser des Inka-Adels waren. Nachdem wir diesen wunderschönen Ort erkundet haben, kehren wir nach Cusco zurück, wo wir gegen 19:00 Uhr ankommen werden.

Our tour to scared valley was fantastic! We made about 7 stops, it was a long day but all worth it. Out tour guide Leo was amazing very knowledgeable, did a fantastic job explaining in detail. And he was a great human being really showed us amazing hospitality.

Tour was ok. Lunch was terrible and everything that was supposed to be hot was cold. And music and noise very loud.

This tour took you to all the sites it listed, but time at the historically and archaeologically significant sites were sacrificed at the expense of trying to rip tourists off. At every opportunity, we were taken to a vendor who could play tricks to take tourists money, while only being given 10 minutes to explore each historic site actually advertised as part of the tour. English was presented on this tour as an after thought, with long complex descriptions and discussions had in Spanish and then a very concise description provided in English.

During the tour, we only make a brief stop in Chinchero, where local people demonstrate the traditional Andean weaving and spinning process, and another short stop in Pisac, where visitors receive an explanation about local jewelry and handicrafts. We completely understand your point of view and are very sorry that you felt the time spent at some archaeological sites was too limited. We had an amazing experience on this tour! Andy was a fantastic guide - super fun, engaging, and incredibly informative. He shared so much about Inca history and culture, and we learned a lot throughout the day. Everything was very well organized, with timely pickup and drop-off, and great communication from start to finish. The sites we visited were absolutely stunning, and each stop felt worthwhile. One of the highlights was a stop at a baby alpaca shop, where they walk you through the entire process of how the products are made and dyed. It was really interesting, and you also have the option to purchase items if you’d like. We did the full tour, including the final stop in Pisac, which was beautiful and definitely worth it. Just a heads-up: some people in our group chose to end their tour early at Ollantaytambo to catch their train to Machu Picchu, so that’s an option if you coordinate ahead of time. Highly recommend this tour!

Loved it. Jimi was an awesome guide, very knowledgeable. We hit Pisaq, which was my favorite, Ollantaytambo & those ruins were amazing. It was my birthday & at lunch they had the restaurant make it a whole thing, which was sweet. We also hit the salt mines, & lots of other places, too many to remember. Overall great experience

The tour guide is good, we did visit all the spots, but it's too short for some of sites such as Pisac, pretty much didn't get to see much at Pisac. You might need to do that separately. The only major complain I have is that they take you to shopping sites... there were 3 spots we stopped for shopping, which did not mention in the details.

Very good experience, the guide explained the places we visited, they gave us enough time to take the photos and appreciate the landscape, my children of 11 and 12 years were happy and entertained, my wife and I enjoyed the family day taking our children to know in a safe and didactic way the history of the Sacred Valley of Cusco.
