Unser privater Fahrer wird Sie mit den Tickets begleiten und auf Sie warten, während Sie den Palast und die herrlichen Gärten besuchen. Anschließend machen wir uns auf den Weg nach Sintra.
Es befand sich auf dem Monte da Pena und war das Ergebnis der Fantasie des Königs D. Fernando, nachdem er sich in Sintra verliebt hatte. Umgeben von üppigen Gärten mit über 500 verschiedenen Baumarten, die aus allen Ecken der Erde stammen, ist dies der größte Ausdruck der Romantik des 19. Jahrhunderts in Portugal.
Im Zentrum des Dorfes Sintra gelegen, war es einer der bevorzugten Orte portugiesischer Könige und Königinnen in den ersten Dynastien der Nation.
Dieser Palast aus dem 19. Jahrhundert ist der Traum eines Mannes, der wahr geworden ist und beeindruckende Verzierungen mit freimaurerischen Referenzen sowie luxuriösen Gärten, Brunnen und Seen aufweist.
Von Sintra aus erreichen wir auf dem Weg nach Cascais den westlichsten Punkt des europäischen Kontinents, in einer 140 m hohen Klippe und mit dem Leuchtturm, der immer noch ein wichtiger Punkt für die Schifffahrt ist.
Cascais erreichen, gibt es Hell's Mouth, eine natürliche Kluft oder Höhle, die durch das wiederholte Stampfen der Wellen gegen die Klippen und das Ein- und Aussteigen des Wassers entstanden ist, aber in den Wintermonaten offenbart Boca do Inferno wirklich seine höllische Wut . Bei besonders schlechtem Wetter können die Wellen bis zu den Klippen - oder höher - reichen. Das Ergebnis ist ein Paradebeispiel für die Kraft der Natur, die gleichzeitig erschreckend und faszinierend ist.
Einst ein friedliches Fischerdorf, wurde Cascais im Zweiten Weltkrieg berühmt, als reiche und königliche Familien aus vielen europäischen Kriegsländern Cascais und Estoril als Wohnsitz auswählten, während Portugal zu dieser Zeit ein neutrales Land war. Reiche Häuser und Paläste am Meer und eine wunderschöne Landschaft machten diese Region zur portugiesischen Riviera.
Estoril wurde von vielen Adelsfamilien aus Kriegsländern im Zweiten Weltkrieg mit Cascais ausgewählt und besitzt eines der ältesten Casinos in Europa und das berühmte Hotel Palacio mit vielen Geschichten über Spione und geheime Treffen zwischen den Alliierten und den Nazis.

If you are considering a private tour of Lisbon or Sintra, I cannot recommend Luis from Wellcam highly enough. I booked two full-day experiences with him—a Lisbon tour and the Sintra, Cabo da Roca, and Cascais tour—and both were outstanding. My wife and I took 2 day tour— Sintra and Cascais one day and Lisbon city next. Luis is very knowledgeable and very easy to communicate with. He understood our preferences and limitations and modified the itinerary accordingly. Made sure he could drop and pick us up as close to attractions as possible. He made extra effort on his free time to arrange another agent to provide a tour we wanted. He was unable to provide due to his earlier commitments. Based on my search online his charges were lower than many.

Luis was a wonderful driver and guide for the 12 of us visiting Sintra, and Cascais. He walked through the palaces with us explaining the rich history, and so knowledgeable about the whole area and the way of life in Portugal. We had some great conversations with him and he took us to a wonderful spot overlooking the Atlantic oven for lunch. I wish we had booked him for all of Portugal and not just one portion of it.

An amazing tour and operator. Don't think twice about this tour! We loved every moment and had a wonderful time with our tour guide. The operator ensures the best tour guides in the business. Our guide was professional, calm, fluent in English, and knowledgeable. We didn't feel rushed at all, and we were given the opportunity to customize or focus on our interests rather than adhere to a strict schedule. The car was super clean, roomy and comfortable for the day tour. I highly recommend this tour with this operator which made us love Portugal even more.
