Reiseverlauf
Die Fahrt zur großen Bucht von Fazayah, etwa 80 km westlich von Salalah, macht bereits Spaß, denn die Route führt am Strand von Mughsail vorbei zu den Haarnadelkurven an den Flanken des Wadi Afawl und weiter zu den Höhen von Jebel Qamar. Dort oben fühlen Sie sich ein bisschen wie der Ausguck im Mast eines Segelschiffs: Meeresbrise und ein ungehinderter Blick zum Horizont, nur dass es auch die steilen Felsklippen mit ihren bizarren Formationen gibt. Ein steiler, aber guter Weg führt hinunter zu mehreren kleinen und großen Sandstränden. Jetzt ist die perfekte Zeit, um Ihre Badekleidung anzuziehen und in die Wellen des Indischen Ozeans einzutauchen.
Wenn Sie von den Bergen herunterkommen, fahren Sie nach Westen zum beliebten Mughsail. Die erste Station ist der wunderschöne Sandstrand mit Pavillons und Palmen für diejenigen, die sich im Schatten ausruhen möchten, während sie den Wellen lauschen. Die Berge kommen an dieser Stelle dem Meer sehr nahe und bieten eine herrliche Aussicht.
Ein weiterer besonderer Anblick bei Mughsail sind die Lunker, in denen sich Wasser aus dem Meer durch den Felsen drängt und in der Hochsaison bis zu 28 m hoch schießt. Flut während Khareef bringt die besten Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber das Phänomen kann bei Flut das ganze Jahr über beobachtet werden. Zwischen dem Strand und den Lunkern passieren Sie die Lagune, ein Paradies für Vögel, die zwischen Afrika und Europa oder Asien wandern.
Die letzte Station im Westen ist Masood Beach, ein wunderschöner weißer Sandstrand, der so sauber in die Berge eingebettet ist, dass manche ihn den "versteckten Strand" nennen. Die enge Kombination von steilen Bergen mit Sand und Wasser ist ein atemberaubender Anblick. Die Rückfahrt nach Salalah beinhaltet einen Blick auf berühmte Weihrauchbäume und an vielen Stellen der Reise können Sie Kamele oder andere Tiere von Dhofar sehen.

This was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Salalah. I had the pleasure of going on this trip alone with Abdulaziz as my tour guide and has now become a friend of mine. He was patient, knowledgeable, accommodating and has a good sense of humor. We went to Mughsail Beach, Marnif Cave, Hidden Beach, Blow Holes and Fazayah Beach. The highlight was Fazzayah Beach. I enjoyed the drive down the mountains and the water is absolutely amazing. The views are breathtaking. Abdulaziz gave me time to dip my feet in the water and sat patiently waiting for me allowing me to indulge to the maximum. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Salalah and especially ask for Abdulaziz to be your tour guide 😊 My only concern was the poor bathroom facilities in Salalah but this was no fault of the tour company. However Abdulaziz always tried his best to find alternative ways for me to use the restroom. Thanks again for an amazing tour and look forwarding to visiting Salalah again in the near future.

I highly recommend this tour! I spent a great afternoon in breathtaking settings. Small tip for the beach: get ready for the beautiful waves and take a board! The guide I had already done the eastern part of Salalah with was really great: accommodating, friendly and really keen to share his culture.

We could see the beautiful seaside in Salalah. My guide Abdul took us the several places in half day. His time management skill is professional. He knows well what time we should go to each place.
