It is a long day, long car ride. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Bring a water bottle. The lunch was great. The tour guide was helpful, knowledgeable and fun!
Great experience! Learned a lot about the region. Tour guide was amazing and well educated about places we went.
There’s a lot of wine and cider tasting! But it’s worth every penny. I really enjoyed myself on this tour and our tour guide was fun. She was very informative when driving us to all 3 destinations and making sure she told us the history behind some of the places we drove past. She made sure everyone was comfortable in the van and also made sure we were taking advantage of the snacks in the van lol. I would definite recommend this place to anyone that enjoys wine & cider tasting
What an amazing day had!! Branden from booking was amazing and Sophie was the best host the whole entire day - could not have asked for anything better - she was on top of it!!!! Thank you Sophie for your kindness and extraordinary hospitality!! Each vineyard had something super special about it!! Maude and Pavel were great hosts along with their family and the red wine 🍷 which normally can’t have was exquisite, Emma did amazing in her parents absence and the charcuterie board was heavenly and the entire family at the Coronation Dance Hall Cidery where so kind and welcoming with the best apple crumble I have ever had and, I’ve tasted many. Thanks for the most wonderful day from Cody and Mia. Xoox
Amazing tour! Knowledgeable, entertaining guide. Small group size. Great food and wines. Highlight of our trip. Highly recommended!
I loved the tour - Brandon, Giovanni and Steph do a great job of sharing history of the Pontiac and the surrounding areas, including how grapevines grow, what affects the grapes / quality of the wine, the best time to pick them, etc. The tour is very informative. To elevate the experience and promote the vineyards even more, I would suggest making space for the Wine and Cider makers/owners to speak for themselves, share their own stories, and answer questions from visitors themselves.
Brendan and Giovanni were excellent . Charming, funny and very informative. Started at a quaint family run vineyard, then a beautiful established vineyard with a full, individual charcuterie plate and 5! delicious wines. Very good service and descriptions for each wine. Followed by a cider house steeped in history. This is a well run tour, everything coordinated perfectly, a nice flow. Currently looking for more tours with this company. 5 stars
Great day exploring unspoilt Pontiac. Fun encounters and great wine and food too at three very different stops. Guide was great.
Jonathan was a wonderful host. Great way to spend the day. All of the hosts at the Vineyards and Cider house were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
We, a senior couple (72 & 69) really enjoyed this tour. We were picked by the tour bus driven by Jonathan at the Hilton and drove to the 3 stops. The roads were typical bumpy, and the leaves were changing colour these were sometimes narrow country roads. Jonathan provided information about our surroundings along the way. The weather was cool, but pleasant. The first stop was a winery operated by Scott if memory serves; it's in a nice settings with rows of vines easy to see and they still had loads of grapes hanging. We sat down in a beautifully decorated serving area and had the loaded charcuterie plate with local cheeses, nuts, sausage slices etc... all while sampling 4 wines which my wife and enjoyed enough to buy 5 bottles. The information provided by Scott about the wines and history was excellent and made for a very enjoyable stop. The next stop was a Cidrerie (cider making) place and this was a quaint spot with a heavenly apple pie odor awaiting us. Here we were offered 2 cider in frosted little mugs and both were quite good! Then we got a tour of the operation and the history of the family owned business and this too was very informative and colorfully narrated by Greg. Then we got a piece of apple pie with ice cream! Yes it was very good! Our 3rd stop was another Winery also in a picturesque setting. We walked uphill to the vines and got a really good idea of the operation with Martin providing details. As it was cool, we went back inside and Martin provided a 'lesson' which we all thoroughly enjoyed his teaching experience shining through: we learnt about sugar content in wine, about process differences to make white, red, rosé and range wines. We bought a couple more bottles here too. It made for a great day, a very enjoyable day which I would highly recommend.
