Had a great day out, just the right amount of kayaking v boat, Monkeys jumping onto the kayak and boat was amazing, had just under 2hrs for lunch and swim which was lovely, didn’t feel rushed on this tour unlike some others we have done, all the guides / drivers were very friendly and spoke good English
Don’t miss this amazing opportunity for a fab tour. Our guide today ‘Sing’ took us on an adventure not to be missed. We glided in kayaks past mangroves watching skipper fish and then little monkeys came to greet us . Then we sailed across the tranquil sea in long tail boat to wonder at Koh Pee and other limestone islands to a tiny beach were more monkeys were waiting and took drinks from our bottles. No fear of them biting they seemed really tame. Back in kayaks we visited a limestone cave amazed by beautiful stalagtites. Koh Bubu was our lunch stop. I kept pinching myself am I really here so beautiful. Very adequate lunch followed by a swim - bliss. Lots of water supplied +++ and lovely watermelon. We enjoyed that but so did the monkey who came aboard at the end of the day to gorge himself on the tasty fruit till his cheek pouches bulged. Thankyou Sing who was full of fun and genuinely lovely guy taking great care that we were ok and having a lovely time. I highly recommend this tour.
The tour was ok. A bit disorganized. We had to wait almost an hour to be picked up. The longtail boat is quite noisy and it’s really hard to hear the instructions or have a conversation. During the tour we sometimes had to guess what we were supposed to do. No clear instructions from the guide. May be the language barrier? Not enough time kayaking in mangroves. We were given half an hour, which flew by so fast to witness the beauty and abundance of the nature. The tour guide was on a different boat so basically we were on our own figuring out which way to kayak… It would have been helpful to have a guide navigating the group through the river and get some background information on the area . The most memorable thing was sea caves kayaking. We even had a chance to explore a cave inside, which was amazing! And again we wish we had better information from the guide on what to expect inside the cave. The lunch at Bu Bu Island was ok. The island itself is fine. Nothing to do there except swimming. We spent about an hour walking around and enjoying a beach. At the end of the tour we had to wait again for a vehicle to pick us up and bring us to the hotel we are staying. So, overall, I am giving only three stars to this tour. Hopefully it will be improved.
A canoe ride along magnificent cliffs, with a swimming break, and the observation of swimming monkeys on the way back. There were only 6 of us, plus an escort and the captain of the boat. The atmosphere was serene and pleasant, far removed from crowded tourist excursions; ideal for a couple. There is little information provided regarding the organization but it worked without worries, including the transfer from the hotel.
