Ganztägige Cotswolds Tour ab London

Four of us were booked on the full day tour to the Cotswolds and 15 mins before the pick up time the driver called me to say he'd broken down and that he couldn't get hold of the agent (guide?) To tell them so was telling me directly. The other people at the pick up point had no idea what was going on. I contacted Get your guide and they acted quickly to cancel the day from their end and sent the refund quickly so not unhappy with them. The fact the drivers minibus broke down couldn't be helped but I would have expected a call from the agent or tour guide but nothing at the time and nothing since. Very poor. One of the other guests said their trip had already been cancelled once. On reading reviews on Get your guide some people mention shoddy pick ups etc which makes me feel like its a small company with no replacement buses or staff. Untrustworthy.

We participated in this tour on May 25. We were part of a 7 person group from the US. The tour began 30 minutes late. Two buses pulled up at the meeting point. We got on the second bus not knowing that obviously Flossie the tour guide was in the first bus. We had no tour guide nor did we ever see a tour guide or the other bus after leaving. We had a very incompetent bus driver who didn’t know how to work the air conditioner on the bus. We traveled for hours in the sweltering heat! He only did head counts and had no idea how long we were to stay in each village. He stopped the bus three times on the side of the road to use the restroom!! We were cheated all day long! Our leader who booked this tour for us has been in contact with you regarding a refund for our group! We all plan to review this horrible experience on the website. Boring. No guide. Just a driver who didn’t bother to check names, tickets, etc. He showed up more than 30 minutes late at Paddington, leaving us wondering and worried where he was, if we were I. The right place, etc. Then, I misheard when we were to meet at the second stop. I thought he said 3:40, but when we showed up at that time the bus had left, leaving us stranded. Why didn’t anyone call or text or email me? We were literally sitting in the back garden of the pub where the bus was. We had to pay for an expensive I we to meet the bus at the next town. A very disappointing experience.

Great comfortable bus with an experienced driver and a very knowledgeable tour guide. We had a great time.

Not really a tour. Rather just a bus ride to the Cotswalds. Although we loved the villages of the Cotswalds and are a must to see in England, DO NOT use this vendor. Very deceptive advertising. The " English" speaking guide only means a pre- recorded message comes on as your bus enters the village and only that one time. A rather dour bus driver who literally raced through the countryside was all we had. Never knew a bus could go that fast. Without an actual guide there is no context no meaning to what and where you are going . If all you require is transportation catch a train .

Unfortunately, it was far from what we expected. There was no tour guide and no one providing explanations, context, or recommendations about the places we visited. Internet signal in these areas is extremely weak, so you cannot rely on your phone to look up information on your own. This made the experience feel disorganized and poorly planned. The bus would simply arrive at a stop, everyone was told to get off, and we were given a set amount of time with no guidance at all — no historical context, no suggestions on what to see, no recommendations on where to eat, nothing. To be fair, the driver did his job properly. He safely transported us from point A to the final stop and back to London. However, this type of activity clearly requires a dedicated tour guide. Having only a driver is simply not enough for a full-day tour experience. We have taken many other full-day tours before, and in most of them the driver is also the guide. They explain the places you are arriving at, share interesting facts along the way, make the journey enjoyable, and offer helpful recommendations. That basic level of service was completely missing here. The only positive aspect of the entire experience was the journey itself and the places we visited, which are absolutely beautiful. Aside from that, the service seriously lacks proper guidance. This is the responsibility of the company operating the tour, and it is something they need to fix. Experiences like this leave travelers with a negative impression and feeling that the tour was not worth the price. Overall, this felt like a transportation service rather than a guided tour. Very disappointing.

The place was beautiful but there was rainy day so we didn't take many pictures there. We love Bourton in the water because we can feel christmas vibes there

I’ll start off by saying the Cotswolds were very pretty. Our driver was punctual picking us up.Those are the only positive things I can say. We received “zero” information from our driver apart from when he would be back to pick us up from the different drop off locations. We did not even get a “hello” . In the past, we have had good experiences booking tours through Viator and the guides are friendly & provide lots of information about the locations we are touring. This was not the case on this tour. Again, we literally received “ zero” information. Do not book this tour.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to do the tour. I was waiting at the meeting point (along with about 10 other travellers) and we received an email after the start time informing us that the tour was cancelled. We received no explanation other than an email saying the tour is cancelled. Thankfully our money was refunded but it was very disappointing.

Not impressed by the website as the itinerary went missing after making the booking. Got dropped off and picked up in Burford, Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water with no further information apart from what time we had to return to the minibus. Had to use Google for information on the areas we visited. In Bourton-on-the-Water I visited the cute model village. Next time I'll look specifically for a guided tour as opposed to a tour.
