Die professionell ausgebildeten und zertifizierten Reiseleiter unterrichten und schulen Sie im sicheren Umgang mit einem Segway. Die Tour führt hauptsächlich über den Uferdamm auf einer langen Fahrt, wo Sie die Brise und die Gerüche des Meeres erleben können. Unterwegs haben Sie die Möglichkeit, Fotos und Videos zu machen. Wenn Sie Glück haben, können Sie vielleicht sogar Delfine im Meer sehen.

Reiseverlauf
Der Galveston Seawall wurde nach dem Galveston Hurricane von 1900 zum Schutz vor zukünftigen Hurrikanen erbaut und ist ein Deich in Galveston, Texas. Die Bauarbeiten begannen im September 1902 und das erste Segment wurde am 29. Juli 1904 fertiggestellt. Von 1904 bis 1963 wurde der Damm von 5,3 km auf über 16 km verlängert.
Die Tour führt kurz in das historische Viertel, wo wir am Bischofspalast vorbeikommen, der einst als Gresham's Castle bezeichnet wurde.

We were 2 beginners, after a short time practicing in the alley, we were totally comfortable. Larry was our guide. He was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We toured around safely learning about the history of Galveston. He gave us recommendations for some free musuems, shopping and restaurants.

The guide was fun, funny, informative, & safe conscious! I would highly recommend this tour. Our group were not at all familiar with segways & after his guidance, riding like they had ridden numerous times in the past. They were sore & tired but ready to go again the following day.
Been coming to Galveston for years but never left the Seawall area. The tour was a great way to see amazing parts of the Island that I didn’t know existed plus hear lots of historical information. Highly recommend!
