Diese Tour führt Sie zu 2 wichtigen Städten der Halbinsel Salento wie Galatina, mit seiner faszinierenden spätromanischen Kirche Santa Caterina d'Alessandria, die 1390 erbaut wurde und voll mit atemberaubenden Fresken von Arbeitern der Giotto-Schule bedeckt ist. Castro, eine alte messapische Stadt etwa 20 Kilometer südlich von Otranto, wo wir entlang der besten Küstenroute fahren, um die atemberaubenden Klippen zu genießen. Es wird gesagt, dass es der Ort war, an dem Aeneas, der Vorfahre der Gründer Roms, nach seiner Flucht vor dem Trojanischen Krieg zum ersten Mal in Italien landete. Hier besuchen Sie das Schloss, in dem sich das archäologische Museum mit mehreren Funden griechischer Kolonien befindet, und den Ort des mythischen Tempels der Göttin Minerva. Transfer von Lecce nach Galatina 30 Minuten. Sie besuchen die spätromanische Kirche Santa Caterina d'Alessandria, die 1390 von Raimondello Orsini del Balzo, Graf von Soleto, erbaut wurde. Im Innenraum befinden sich Fresken von Künstlern der Giotto-Schule, die die Kirche nach der Basilika San Francesco d'Assisi zur zweiten in Italien machen, wegen ihrer Bildzyklen.
Bei einem Spaziergang durch die Altstadt können Sie mehrere Adelspalast entdecken, die gebaut wurden, als Galatina Teil des Kreises Soleto war mit "Giovanni Antonio", dem Sohn von Raimondello und Maria d'Enghien, Königin von Neapel von 1406 bis 1414. In der Nähe des Hauptplatzes befindet sich die barocke Kirche San Pietro, die ab 1633 auf einem früheren byzantinischen (griechisch-rituellen) Gebäude wieder aufgebaut wurde. In der Nähe befindet sich die kleine Kapelle San Paolo, in der sich ein Brunnen befindet, der der Überlieferung nach Menschen heilen konnte, die von giftigen Taranteln gebissen wurden (die Gebissenen wurden im lokalen Dialekt Tarantati oder Pizzicati genannt, von denen der berühmte Italienische Volkstanz ausgeht). Galatina ist auch bekannt für das seit Generationen in der lokalen Konditorei hergestellte Gebäck. In der berühmtesten können Sie sich erfreuen, indem Sie das "Pasticciotto" mit der köstlichen Sahne im Inneren probieren.
Transfer von Galatina nach Soleto mit einem kurzen Halt auf dem Weg zur Raimondello Orsini Spire.
Transfer von Soleto nach Palascia Leuchtturm 30 Min. Der hohe weiße zylindrische Leuchtturm am östlichsten Punkt Italiens. Wenn Sie den Weg entlang gehen, können Sie die herrliche Aussicht auf Otranto Kosten genießen. Von hier aus fahren wir entlang der atemberaubenden Klippe, vorbei an Tipical-Dörfern wie Porto Badisco und Santa Cesarea Terme, Richtung Zinzulusa-Höhle (30 Minuten).
Der Name der Grotte stammt von den "Lappen" im lokalen Dialekt "zinzuli", weil die Stalaktiten vielen hängenden Lappen ähneln. Der Besuch gliedert sich in drei Teile :"La Conca", die durch Stalaktiten und Stalagmiten gekennzeichnet ist; "Der Dom" mit seinem Gewölbe von etwa 25 Metern Höhe; "Il Cocito" mit sehr klarem Wasser fließen durch ihn hindurch, in dem es oben Schichten von Süßwasser und unten Brackwasser gibt. Es ist ein wahres Naturschauspiel. Die Höhle ist nicht für Menschen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität geeignet. Es gibt mehrere Stufen, um in die Grotte zu gelangen, manchmal schmal, nass und rutschig, so dass es bequeme Schuhe tragen muss. Der Grottenbesuch dauert 30 Minuten und das Warten auf den Eintritt hängt von der Warteschlange ab. Hier können Sie auch Ihr unabhängiges Mittagessen in den nahe gelegenen Restaurants mit ihren schönen Terrassen am Meer einnehmen.
Transfer von der Zinzulusa Höhle zum historischen Zentrum Castro 5 Min. Der Name der Stadt leitet sich von Castrum Minervae (lateinisch für „Athenas Burg“) ab, einer antiken messapischen Stadt mit einem Tempel, der der Göttin Minerva gewidmet ist. Es wird gesagt, dass es der Ort war, an dem Aeneas, der Vorfahre der Gründer Roms, nach seiner Flucht vor dem Trojanischen Krieg zum ersten Mal in Italien landete (wie auch vom Independent im April 2007 veröffentlicht). Hier besuchen Sie das kleine historische Zentrum und die Burg, in der sich das archäologische Museum mit mehreren Funden griechischer Kolonien befindet, und den Ort des mythischen Tempels mit der neuesten Entdeckung einer weiblichen Statue aus dem 4. Jahrhundert v. Chr., die vermutlich die Göttin Minerva darstellt. Im unteren Raum zeigt Ihnen eine große Tafel alle Etappen von Aeneas' Reise, die von Virgil im Aeneid erzählt wird, bevor Sie zum Turm hinaufgehen, um die herrliche Aussicht zu genießen.

My fiancée and I booked a tour with Bob and had a fantastic day out. As our hotel was a little out of the way, Bob offered to adjust the itinerary to make things easier which we really appreciated. He took us to the beautiful towns of Otranto and Castro, both of which are a must see for anyone interested in history. Along the way, he told us so much about the history and culture of the area as he knows the area like the back of his hand. On top of this, his friendly and enthusiastic attitude made it impossible not to enjoy the day. We would thoroughly recommend this fantastic trip to anyone visiting the area.
We had a wonderfull time with Bob our Tour guide. We went along the Coast. Where He showed us the most beautyful places along the adriatic Coast. Due to us not beeing hungry we got even more to see than we expected. Also he recommended a lot of places where you can habe very good food in lecce. Overall 12/10 experience. Would book again. this is a great way ti see the area. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this trip for a few reasons= the tour guide is very friendly knowledgeable and it us next ti impissible to do by oneself. His wife was with us and she is a very pleasant lovely woman. They bith privided an insight into the region that would be impossible ti learn by oneself

Bob showed up on time. We were within the old city of Lecce and he sent us a picture of where we should meet within a one minute walk of our lodging. He took us as planned to a nice sandy beach on the Adriatic—Lido Circeo. He asked how long we wanted to stay at the beach and he showed back up at the appointed hour to take us to his home for lunch in the garden. We had a very nice multicourse meal prepared by his lovely wife, Sandra. Everything was exactly as advertised. He then returned us back to our lodging. He was so pleasant to deal with that we hired him a couple of days later just to drive us to the city of Gallipoli. At the designated time he then returned us to our lodging and Leche. Highly recommended!
Experience was lovely. The host and his wife made us feel very welcome and treated us as if we were family or long time friends. The garden where we had lunch was private and lovely and the food delicious
