Wir beginnen den Rundgang in Chennai am Kapaaleswar-Tempel, dem berühmtesten Tempel in Mylapore. Als nächstes besuchen wir auf unserer Chennai-Wanderung das Kloster und den universellen Tempel von Ramakrishna, einem der größten Philosophen Indiens. Der Vasupujya Swami Tempel ist ein Shwetambara Jain Tempel und hat eine beeindruckende Architektur. Der Tempel ist Lord Mahavira und den anderen 24 Tirtankaras (spirituellen Lehrern) gewidmet. Der Tempel hat ein faszinierendes Ambiente und trägt zur religiösen Vielfalt von Mylapore bei.
Der Rundgang in Chennai führt uns zur Hauptkirche der römisch-katholischen Erzdiözese Madras & Mylapore. Es ist ein faszinierendes Erlebnis in der neugotischen Basilika. Der Schrein bewahrt einen kleinen Knochen und die Lanze, die im Jahr 52 den Heiligen Thomas durchbohrte und die in der Tat der Höhepunkt dieser Chennai-Wanderung ist.

I had an amazing experience on this tour. I learned a lot about the history of Chennai and how temples of multiple religions have play a major role in the city, from biblical times through today. My guide, Kannan was excellent. He was he extremely knowledgeable, giving me detailed explanations and important context at each stop. He was also very friendly and attentative, making sure I was enjoying my tour, getting good photos, and was doing ok in the extreme May heat. I definitely recommend 5 Senses as a tour provider, and highly recommend my guide, Kannan.

Jainath was wonderful. He picked me up at the airport and managed the entire experience from admissions, to interactions and of course gave very helpful information on each of the 4 places we saw. He was also flexible and curtailed the trip to what I wanted to see and experience. I felt safe as a solo female traveler and saw a lot for within the half a day we spent together.
