Diese Thermalbäder sind sehr reich an mineralmedizinischen Eigenschaften und bieten von Natur aus Vorteile für Körper und Geist. Der ideale Weg, um inmitten Ihres Urlaubs zu entspannen. Entdecken Sie die wahre Mystik des Dorfes Furnas bei Nacht, die Furnas Fumarolen nach Sonnenuntergang sind anders als alles, was ich gesehen habe. Der Dampf fängt die gelben Lichter des Dorfes auf, über dem schwarzen Kopfsteinpflaster sieht es wirklich etwas aus von dieser Welt. Wir holen Sie zunächst in Ihrer Unterkunft (oder Ihrem Treffpunkt) ab, wo wir Sie herzlich willkommen heißen und kurz einweisen. Auf dem Weg nach Furnas machen wir einen kurzen Halt, um die wunderschöne Küste von Vila Franca zu genießen und Fotos von der Insel Vila Franca do Campo (Prinzessinenring) zu machen.
Die „Lagoa das Furnas“, die sich natürlich in eine Caldera (einen inaktiven Vulkan) einnistet, ist eine wichtige Sehenswürdigkeit für Touristen, Wanderer, Biologen und Vogelbeobachter, dank ihrer Vielfalt an endemischen und exotischen Arten von Flora und Fauna, die frei durch das Gebiet streifen (und nicht gefährlich sind). Als ein Gebiet, das so reich an geothermischen Aktivitäten ist, haben die Einheimischen eine einzigartige Möglichkeit entwickelt, es zu nutzen, um ein unverwechselbares Portugiesisches Gericht zuzubereiten: den „Cozido das Furnas“, eine Mischung aus Fleisch, Gemüse und Wurzelgemüse, die langsam für etwa 6 Stunden unter der Erde gegart werden;
Im Rahmen des kulinarischen Erlebnisses auf dieser Tour probieren wir den berühmten Eintopf, der in einem traditionellen lokalen Restaurant mit Erdwärme zubereitet wird – bereits erwähnt –, als Teil eines Ganztagsmenüs : Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Dessert sowie heiße und kalte Getränke (vegetarische Optionen und Kindergerichte sind verfügbar). Vorsicht! Dieses Restaurant ist für seine großzügigen Portionen bekannt, also seien Sie sicher, hungrig zu kommen!
Tauchen Sie mit Leib und Seele in die Thermalbäder von Furnas ein, an der „Poça da Dona Beija“, einer der beliebtesten Thermalanlagen in Furnas, auf São Miguel. Mit natürlichen Gewässern mit einer Temperatur von ca. 39°C, umgeben von einer herrlichen Vegetation und angereichert mit Vogelgezwitscher, ist dies ein Moment der Entspannung und Besinnung, der Sie von Ihrem Alltag und Sorgen während der goldenen Stunde des Tages, zwischen Dämmerung und Einbruch der Nacht, wegnehmen wird. Diese eisenreichen Wässer sind als ausgezeichnete Behandlung für die Haut bekannt, aber nicht für gefärbtes Haar geeignet. Vermeiden Sie Warteschlangen – wir kümmern uns um die Reservierung für Sie. Bestimmte Erkrankungen können mit den Thermalbädern unvereinbar sein; konsultieren Sie bitte vorher Ihren Arzt.

Wir beenden unsere Tour damit, nachts die beeindruckenden kochenden Wasserbecken von Furnas zu bewundern: Eine von der Natur geschaffene Rauch- und Lichtshow erwartet Sie, ein einzigartiges Erlebnis auf den Azoren. Probieren Sie die reichhaltigen Mineralwasserquellen und genießen Sie eine hausgemachte süße Köstlichkeit aus der Region.
Wir fahren in sicherer und entspannter Atmosphäre entlang der Nordseite der Insel zurück. Während dieser 45-minütigen Fahrt können Sie ein Nickerchen machen und/oder Empfehlungen für andere Orte und Aktivitäten für den Rest Ihres Aufenthalts erhalten. Wir kommen an den Teeplantagen vorbei, die dann geschlossen bleiben.

After the booking we was quickly informed about the pickup, and booking directly though their website the entry to the hot springs was taken care of for us. Before and during the trip Ivo was easy to contact. The start of the trip was ok, and trying dinner made in that special way, has to be tried. The hot springs was really nice, but the real magic started after the hot springs, during the evening guide. It was truly amazing to experience Furnas after the dark, with the steam/haze frmo the hot water and the "limited" amount of light from the light poles. I have absolutely nothing negative to put on Ivo or the trip overall. Ivo was really talkative, informative and almost like a living dictionary (in a good way of course). I neither have a finger to out on his driving. It felt save. Obviously I have not been visiting Furnas during the regular day, but I would still recommend people to visit Furnas during the evening/early night.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Ivo, a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. The cozido was delicious and the hot springs were fantastic and therapeutic. The stops along the way made the whole experience even better. This tour is a must!

A really beautiful trip with the great guide Ivo. Ivo is from here and knows the area very well because of that. We learned a lot from him. In advance, Ivo easily booked the tickets for the hot springs for us. The contact with him was quick, easy, and very friendly. On the tour, Ivo was well prepared and offered us water and umbrellas, for example. Ivo told us a lot about the sights and still gave us our own time, which was very pleasant. The food was great and everything was included. There was so much, and no wish was left unfulfilled. We had a lot of fun and great impressions that will stay with us for a long time. The experience has been perfect. The tour is very beautiful and impressive, the pools are very nice, very relaxing, the food is super abundant and very good, and the guide is perfect. This is a Must-Do! Our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about local history and culture, and took us to beautiful scenic spots we never would have found on our own. The dinner was delicious, and visiting the hot springs at nighttime was perfect!!! We went on our last night of our trip and it was exactly the great end of a trip we needed. Highly recommend!

Ivo took us to visit the Lagoon that was an interesting site, then we move to Furnas. We had an early spot on the hot spring so the lights were not on yet but still was a lovely experience in a beautiful setting. The water has a perfect temperature of 39 degrees and you can relax in 4 different depth pools. There are additional costs of 2euro for the locker and 1 euro for the hot shower. After that we went for the dinner with the typical stew cooked with the volcano heat. The final stop of the tour was at the calderas, with the steam raising in the night sky, creating the mystic experience. A full experience that finished past 11 pm! Thank you Ivo!

A fabulous tour from Ivo. Transport was comfortable and spacious. The knowledge of the island, the geology and the culture was exceptional and easy to understand. We got to see so much more than we expected. The entrance to the thermal baths was extra (understandably as price changes are out of Ivo’s control). We bathed first and then went for a superb volcano cooked meal. This was all inclusive, including drinks and was exceptional value for money. The night finished with a tour of some local water drinking fountains, each offering different healing properties. Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent experience! Very new van for transport. Knowledgeable guide who answered questions. Hot springs were beautiful and clean. Delicious meal with great wine and dessert. The guide, Ivo, was very friendly. His mother baked a treat for the end! Such a fun evening!
