Fantastic trip! The guide was incredible!
This was an amazing experience and the perfect way to spend my last day in the Balkans. One thing to note is that it says there will be a lot of walking in their description and they are not kidding. The hike to get to Blue Eye was longer than I expected, but absolutely worth it. The information about Kanun and the blood feuds was super interesting. The last part of the tour was a little church in Theth and it felt like stepping back in time 150 years. The tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and the driver navigated some narrow curvy roads like a champ. Highly recommended!
Absolutely incredible day trip out of Tirana! Out of tours that I did during my week, this one was essential 👌🏼 unbeatable views, great hike and swim at the blue eye, and educational at the village of Theth. This blue eye is SO much better than the eye in the south and would recommend this tour if you only have time for one. Our guide Dritan was really great, coordinated well, had interesting info to give us about history and the area, and handled any unexpected issues quickly and calmly. It’s a long day but 100% worth it!
Gorgeous trip & hike, good for solo travel as you meet many others. Dejvi was a superb guide, full of information, history, stories and ensuring everyone got through the hike together. You can swim in the blue eye (1000% recommend) and the hike is rocky so bring solid shoes. It’s definitely worth the trip though be prepared for a long drive to and from Tirana. Lani our driver was a superstar on those roads.
The day is long. The bus seats were too close to one another and we felt cramped on the long ride. Much of the bus ride is along windy mountain roads and we had to stop often for car sick passengers. The hike to the Blue Eye is longer and steeper than you think. Wear shoes with good soles. Theth village is nIce, but underwhelming. Besides the tower and the Church, there is nothing to do there. It is a long ride for an Instagram moment. The Blue Eye was beautiful, but not really worth the hike. If I had not hiked above it with the guide, I would have been really disappointed. Noone else from the group did. Daniel was an exception guide and his knowledge and ability to keep us engaged was excellent. He represented the tour and the country very well.
It a trip worth to book. Our guide Daniel was so good and coordinated very well and even told us about the history. He was very considerate and gave enough breaks during the hike. Visiting Theth village with him was also amazing as he kept saying the real life facts and history. The blue lake was so cold but such vibrant beauty and colours. The hike was also safe and must be done for the view. The sound of waterfall and the birds with the brisk walk made our day!
Nice hike , would say medium difficulty but the view of the blue eye worth it. Our tour guide Dani was very attentive to the details and taking care of everyone..very nice drive with Mountie views
Compared to our other daytrips, this one was quite poorly planned with too much time in the car and too little time at the sights. The car was not up to the standard we saw at other competing companies. Overall, not our best trip.
Great experience overall. Good pick-up communication, great scenery and interesting local village exploration with some history shared during the visit. Daniel was very helpful and professional. Tour includes a long drive from Tirana, sufficient rest stops included. Hike is fast paced on rugged path with irregular big and small rocks throughout.
There are experiences that happen rarely and by chance... The proposed tour is not to be missed if you come to Albania, places as romantic as unique, along the way we discovered all the curiosities and history of the place, but not only... I booked only the day before this tour, in low season and in March: I found a small group of travelers with whom we made friends... but the note of merit must be given to the entire organization and the availability of those who accompanied us: competence, kindness and total hospitality! Tourism is not for everyone. And these guys can teach us how to do it best! Faleminderit!
