Ab Neapel: Ganztägige Tour nach Pompeji und zum Vesuv mit Mittagessen

Good if you're first time and like everything served on a plate. Organization was good, but the walk through Pompeii was a bit fast, another hour would be better, as you only see part of the city. Same with Vesuvious, another half an hour would be nice. Guides were great.

Overall, the trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius was a very good experience. Everything was well organized, and I would recommend the tour. One small suggestion would be to allow a little more time at Mount Vesuvius, as I felt the visit there was a bit rushed. The only thing I did not really appreciate was the situation at lunch. I understand that the tour description mentioned that pizza was included and did not state that drinks were included. However, when we sat down, we were simply asked what we would like to drink (water or soft drinks), without being told that these would be charged separately. Only when we were leaving were we asked to pay for them. The issue is not the price of the drinks, but the lack of clear communication. If I had known that drinks were not included, I might have chosen something else, such as a cappuccino instead of water. It would have been better to clearly inform guests beforehand that drinks were available at an additional cost. Apart from this small issue, we enjoyed the excursion and had a very good experience overall.

Well organized, always on time and ensures that none of the group is left behind. Explanation of Sabrina is perfectly understandable, she is friendly and makes an effort to speak proper English. The driver also did very well. The road to Mount Vesuvius is very narrow and winding, but Giuseppe drove through it easily. In short, we definitely recommend this trip.

Very good Sabrina, excellent accompaniment

The guide - Daniel was great! The tour is not recommended for cruises unless you have a late departure. The tour was advertised as a 7 hour tour with time of return on our tickets for 400 pm. Due to this being a non-cruise tour I confirmed the returned time prior to departure and was told it was not 400 pm that this was only an estimate and it would be more like 500 pm. It would be impossible to get us back by 400 pm. I have never had this problem with Viator in the past and we are frequent cruisers who use Viator for excursions yearly. The large bus was filled with people who were getting guided tours and those who were not. So, we spent the first 1-1/2 hours of the tour picking up people. This this is probably the contributing factoring of not being able to get us back in time. The company filled the bus. Also, our tour was supposed to be in English only, but the Italian guide did not show so we had to listen to Italian and English from our guide which took longer. They did make it right for us and let us cancel the afternoon portion of the tour and gave us a partial credit. We had to take a Train /bus and walk back to the ship from Pompei in 100 degree heat. This was horrible!!! Pompeii was fabulous and guide Daniel did a fantastic job! We appreciated his honesty about not being able to get us back in time, but it was disappointing. We also were grateful the company refunded a portion of our money back, as they should have. Bottom line, cruisers allow several hours cushion for this excursion.

Very good experience. Advance contact for the meeting point and then the time the day before departure. Punctuality ensured throughout the day. Pompeii: very good French-speaking guide for a 2-hour visit. Decent meal. Vesuvius tour confirmed with a French-speaking guide at the top of the crater. Not enough time to fully enjoy the panorama (1 hour 30 minutes to make the climb, the explanation with the French guide when he decides, the descent). On the return by bus, a stop at a souvenir shop=pointless. Sabrina the organizer does her job well. She explains things well and paces the day.

We had an excellent day between Pompeii and Vesuvius! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. A big thank you to our guide Sabrina, who was wonderful throughout the excursion, as well as to Manuel, our driver, who perfectly masters the winding road leading to Vesuvius. The morning was dedicated to visiting the ruins of Pompeii with a very interesting and passionate French-speaking guide. The explanations were clear and allowed us to better understand the fascinating history of this exceptional site. Lunch was also very pleasant, with a meal including pasta and pizza in a welcoming restaurant. In the afternoon, we went up to Vesuvius. Despite the heat, the experience was well worth it. The bus drops us off almost in front of the site entrance, which makes access very convenient. Once at the summit, the crater is impressive and the landscapes are simply magnificent, with an incredible view of the Bay of Naples. An excursion that we recommend without hesitation!
