This was the best tour I had on my trip to Georgia. Our guide, Sandra, was super fun and engaging. She was super knowledgeable on Tskaltubo and Georgia as a whole. Our tour even went on longer than planned as she was happy to wait for us to get the perfect picture and because we were all having so much fun. The abandoned Sanatoriums were also super photogenic. The contrast between the previous opulence and how it is now so run down was super interesting and made for great pictures. Thank you so much Sandra and Megobari Tours. This was a great tour and a lot of fun.
We had two fantastic guides named Gia and Jemali( driver) from the company. They were both very bright, entertaining and enthusiastic. They were from Megobari Tours, Georgia who appear to be an excellent company. We asked many in depth questions and they answered them will ease. We enjoyed their company and they obviously enjoy going on this tour. To the left of the hot springs facilty there was a nice bee keeper who we bought high quality, fresh and cheap honey. Look out for him. Thank you Gia and Jemali for a fantastic 4 hour in depth tour
This is a fantastic tour. We were lucky as there was just the two of us and we had Gia and Jemali. Both are great guides and Jemali was the driver. Gia was the main guide and was entertaining and had a fantastic knowledge about the Sanatoriums and Georgia. We have been to Georgia before and still learnt so much. Both guides had masters degrees and we were in very knowledgeable hands. A sanitarium tour doesn’t sound interesting but this one is and is not to be missed. We also bought some beautiful fresh honey(cheap) from the honey man to the left of the hot springs facility.
It was really a highlight of our trip! Sanatoriums were amazing and mysterious and by hearing their history from our amazing guide Fifo we really submerged ourself in the climate, also we learn more about Sakartvelo (Georgian) history . It was raining during our tour which add some additional flavour to this urbex complex. If You are considering..Just go! It’s really worth seeing
Amazing fascinating tour of soviet sanatoriums, the guide was so good and fun
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the tour and had a fun and engaging experience with the guide.
We took several tours around Kutaisi with this company and every experience was great. We especially enjoyed the Tskaltubo tour – it was really interesting to discover the old Soviet sanatoriums and learn about the history of the town. It’s such a unique place and I’m glad we visited. Everything was well organized and the guide was very friendly. Highly recommend!
