Dies ist jedoch nicht der Fall in der Trockenzeit, in der sich der Wasserfluss drastisch verringert. Die Wasserfälle sind Teil des Ravana Ella Wildlife Sanctuary und befinden sich 8 km vom örtlichen Bahnhof in Ella entfernt
Die Nine Arch Bridge, auch Bridge in the Sky genannt, ist eine Brücke in Sri Lanka. Es ist eines der besten Beispiele für den Eisenbahnbau aus der Kolonialzeit im Land. Der Bau der Brücke wird im Allgemeinen einem lokalen ceylonesischen Baumeister, P. K. Appuhami, in Absprache mit britischen Ingenieuren zugeschrieben. Der Bahnhof Demodara ist der drittletzte Bahnhof der Hauptstrecke und 277,71 km (172,56 mi) von Colombo entfernt. Es liegt 912,5 m (2.994 ft) über dem mittleren Meeresspiegel und 8 km (5,0 mi) von Badulla, der Hauptstadt der Provinz Uva, entfernt. This is a great way to see the main sights of Ella. Really enjoyed this all inclusive excursion and we were the only people, which meant that we could take everything at our own pace. Vimukthi was a great guide, got us some great pictures and made sure that we were stood in the best spots. He also made sure that we always had enough water. Ella rock is quite steep to climb but it is worth it when you get to the top! Would definitely recommend this trip.

Our trip to Ella with friends was one of the most enjoyable experiences of our holiday.
