Family of 4 from NZ and what a great day it was. Well run and professional company which makes a difference. I’m sure all the guides are very good but our guide Dena was exceptional in the way he made everyone relaxed/looked after them and generally had it all running very smoothly. His assistant Korbon? Was also very good and had an eagle eye on everyone in the water if they needed a hand ! Actually very good snorkeling and we got to see the Manta Rays and one turtle, which is definitely a treat. Good quality boat also.
I’ve given Nusa Penida 3 stars, but only because of the port facilities and surrounding infrastructure. Firstly, the people are friendly and welcoming, the local shops are good, and the island itself has some truly stunning beaches and beautiful scenery. We had been looking forward to this trip all week, and the island certainly has plenty to offer. However, the port facilities are absolutely unacceptable. They are dirty, poorly maintained, full of rubbish, and accompanied by some awful smells. Considering this port must receive hundreds of thousands of visitors every year, the facilities are nowhere near adequate. There are only two toilets in the older building, and visitors are charged 5,000 IDR to use them. There are also toilets at the rear of the main building near the snorkelling stores, but the men’s toilets were out of order, leaving everyone to rely on the women’s facilities, which were in a shocking state. The conditions inside were genuinely disturbing. There were no toilet seats, no soap, no handwashing facilities, overflowing bins packed with used toilet paper and sanitary products, blood-stained waste visible in open bins, and human faeces on the floor. The smell was overwhelming. It was not simply unpleasant—it was unhygienic, degrading, and completely unfit for a major international tourist destination. Families with young children, elderly visitors, and tourists arriving from around the world are being forced to use facilities that fall well below even basic public health standards. For a destination that relies so heavily on international tourism, this creates a terrible first and last impression. Many visitors travel from countries with far higher standards of public amenities and should not be expected to tolerate such unsanitary and neglected conditions. The local government urgently needs to invest in modern port facilities, including a new terminal building, sufficient toilets, handwashing stations, cleaning services, and proper maintenance. The island itself is beautiful and deserves infrastructure that reflects its popularity and potential. The roads across the island are also in poor condition, with countless potholes, but the port facilities are, without question, the worst I have encountered anywhere during my travels. Nusa Penida is a wonderful place to visit, but significant improvements to the port infrastructure are desperately needed. I have not uploaded any photos of the facilities as I don’t want to upset the local people.
Yes, it starts quite early from Sanur, but it’s completely worth it. By the end of the day, it felt like we had experienced so much in just one trip. Snorkeling in the morning and exploring the famous west side afterward made it a full and memorable day.
Every stop on this trip was beautiful. The snorkeling spots had clear blue water and great marine life, while the island itself had dramatic cliffs and amazing photo spots. Kelingking especially was even more stunning than the photos online. Definitely worth the trip.
This tour ended up being one of the highlights of our holiday. The fast boat from Sanur was smooth, and once we reached Nusa Penida, the whole day was very well paced. Snorkeling was so much fun, with lots of fish and beautiful reef views. The land tour afterward gave us some of the best scenery we saw in Bali.
What I loved most about this tour is that it combines snorkeling with sightseeing, so it never feels repetitive. We started with snorkeling, and the water visibility was really good. Later, the west side of Nusa Penida gave us stunning cliff and ocean views. Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong looked unreal. It was a long day, but every part of it was worth it.
This was honestly one of the best tours we booked during our Bali trip. From the moment we left Sanur in the morning, everything felt smooth and well organized. The boat ride to Nusa Penida was comfortable, and once we arrived, the day was packed with amazing experiences. The snorkeling spots were beautiful, especially the crystal-clear water and colorful fish. After that, visiting the island’s famous viewpoints made the trip feel complete. Kelingking Beach was absolutely breathtaking in person and easily one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen.
This was hands down our favorite experience in Bali. The private snorkeling was such a nice touchh and made the whole trip feel premium. The guide was friendly, informative, and helped us take some amazing photos. Kelingking Beach was breathtaking and snorkeling was just incredible.
Everything was perfectly arranged from hotel pickup to the boat ride and island transport. The private snorkeling was peaceful and much better than joining a big group. The water was so clear and we saw plenty of marine life. Definitely worth booking if you want a more comfortable experience.
We booked this as a couple and it was perfect. The private snorkeling made it feel special and much less crowded. The views around West Nusa Penida were incredible, especially Broken Beach and Kelingking. Service was excellent from beginning to end.
