Nachdem Sie Ihren Reiseleiter am festgelegten Treffpunkt/Abfahrtspunkt im Battery Park, Lower Manhattan, getroffen haben, führt Ihr Reiseleiter die Gruppe durch den Battery Park. In diesem Bereich entfaltet sich die Geschichte Amerikas. Sie erfahren mehr über Manhattans ursprüngliche Besetzung durch indigene Lenape-Stämme und die Entwicklung der Insel zum Geburtsort Amerikas sowie zur bevölkerungsreichsten und finanziell wichtigsten Stadt unserer Nation! Während sich die Gruppe in das Herz des Parks und zum historischen Bauwerk namens Castle Clinton begibt, werden auf unterhaltsame und ansprechende Weise ausführliche Kommentare gegeben. Unterwegs genießen Sie auch einen schönen Blick auf 1 WTC (auch bekannt als Freedom Tower) von der Rasenfläche des Battery Park. rund um die Castle Clinton-Struktur auf dem Weg zum Sicherheitskontrollzelt der Freiheitsstatue, bevor die Überfahrt zur Fähre zur Freiheitsstatue genehmigt wird.
Während die Tour in das Herz des Battery Park fortschreitet, stoßen wir auf ein rundes, historisches Gebäude namens Castle Clinton. Die Tagestour beinhaltet einen Besuch des berühmten Einwanderungsdepots von Ellis Island, und auch Castle Clinton hat in unserer Einwanderergeschichte eine Rolle gespielt. Unsere erste Fähre bringt uns nach Liberty Island. Hier haben Sie die Möglichkeit, die Freiheitsstatue vom Gelände von Liberty Island aus aus nächster Nähe zu betrachten. Durch ausführliche Kommentare erfahren Sie alles darüber, wie diese wichtige Ikone der Freiheit entstanden ist. Sie werden auch die Originalfackel der Freiheitsstatue sehen, die im Museum der Freiheitsstatue ausgestellt ist.
Von 1892 bis 1954 war Ellis Island das größte, geschäftigste und berühmteste Einwanderungsdepot in den USA! Während der Tour wird Ihr Reiseleiter aufschlussreiche Informationen über die abwechslungsreiche Geschichte dieser Insel und detaillierte Informationen über den Inspektionsprozess von Einwanderern geben. Der Kommentar des Führers erfolgt auf dem Gelände der Insel, außerhalb des Ellis Island National Immigration Museum. Die Tour endet auf Ellis Island, nachdem der geführte Teil der Tour beendet ist. Anschließend können Sie Ellis Island auf eigene Faust weiter erkunden. Der Zugang zu den vielen schönen, selbst geführten Ausstellungen im faszinierenden Ellis Island National Immigration Museum ist im Preis Ihrer Tour inbegriffen. Auf der Insel gibt es auch einen Buchladen, einen Souvenirladen, ein Café und computergestützte Forschungseinrichtungen für Einwanderer. Wenn Sie bereit sind, Ellis Island zu verlassen, können Sie in aller Ruhe eine Fähre nach NYC besteigen, die Sie zum Battery Park in Lower Manhattan zurückbringt (inklusive).

Our family had such a special experience on this tour. Traveling as a group of four, grandmother/mother, two daughters (mother) and a daughter/granddaughter, we immediately connected with our guide, who made us feel like we were part of her family. Our shared perspective made the entire day feel more personal and thoughtful. She had a natural way of bringing the history of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island to life, weaving in meaningful stories while keeping everyone engaged, from the youngest to the oldest in our group. Debbie was an amazing tour guide! She was very informative and fun to my family. We learned so much on this tour that would have been missed otherwise if we just tried to assemble the texts in the exhibits ourselves. We felt very safe and taken care of and would recommend anyone do this tour!
