I booked a last minute trip with my husband thru Expedia to Punta Cana in which I selected & purchased “private” transfers to & from airport. The same day that I booked I received a text from Angel to confirm my booking also with instructions for when we arrived. I loved the professionalism & the kindness at that moment. We arrived the following day to Punta Cana I received a welcome text with the the drivers name which was Alejandro whom was super nice & professional I’d rate him 5 stars. He picked us up in a private vehicle (a Suburban) & also gifted us a souvenir bottle of Mamajuana which was such a nice gesture. We arrived to the resort in about 25 mins which was a smooth ride. The day before our departure I received my confirmation with the drivers name Antonio & pick up time which was 11:30am (I found it strange because my flight was at 3:45pm and that’s a little too early) so far so good. I was so pleased with the pick up from airport that I told my husband if the pickup to go to the airport were to be the same quality of service, I would put the most AMAZING review. Unfortunately it was NOT. The driver arrived on time in a transportation van which I didn’t question because with other companies that I’ve booked private transportation, they’ve used those vehicles for just us two. Once he opened the trunk to put in our suitcases, my husband tells me that there’s people in the vehicle. I immediately told the driver that I book private NOT shared. He tells me that he doesn’t know because he only follows what the company tells him which I understood. We end up leaving on that shared transportation because we had no choice. I text Angel to dispute issue he tells me “Sorry, we don’t offer private service that we were lucky that our first transfer was private because their service is shared.” I told him that our voucher states PRIVATE & that’s what it said when I purchased. I sent him the screenshots (which I’ll share here) he then apologizes tells me “that it’s an error of the girl from operations, that private is triple the cost for obvious reasons. That if he would’ve had another driver they would’ve sent me in a private one but that they were going to burst from how busy operations were”(which is NOT my problem). Si no lo dañan a la entrada, lo dañan a la salida. Which means if they don’t mess up at the beginning they mess it up at the end. I reached out to Expedia whom stated that my reservation should be private, so it’s the suppliers mistake. Luckily Expedia issued me a credit which Somos Viajes should’ve done because I had to settle because they were swamped with work.
Thanks for your feedback, but first of everything, hope you got safe back home. Second, you are reviewing an option that you'd did not purchase (check the price posted and confirm with me if you paid this amount, show me banks statements that show you've pay this full price, not right?)...yes we offer Private, if you would have purchase this option, if you check your purchase confirmation it says is a shared transportation. You pay a way lower fee that the one posted on this option. Also when I send you our voucher, that's for our control and you can show it to the driver in case he ask for ir, and like a said it was an error, a typing error, cause the service was shared, but we write private. (also you said you send me your voucher, but that's the voucher I've send you, but until now I have not received the voucher from Expedia saying that the service was private, like I said I was the one that send you our confirmation voucher, so Im not sure what screenshot are you talking about) But still the pick up at the airport it was only you guys in the transfer, and the service was exceptional. Why we pick you up early, cause is a shared transfer and we have to make sure you are okay to check in. We made a mistake just writing an a word, but the service provide was VIP (offering you refreshing drinks, Meet and Greet Service, confortable vehicle, always on time) and you are taking advantage of that to get a discount on a service you did not purchase. So thanks for booking with us, then you should read terms and conditions, and also review the right product/booking. Thanks
