We found Mytransfers in Athens to be completely unreliable. We booked and paid for the transport from the airport to Lavrio. Contacting Mytransfers is only done through AI, which provides pre-written responses. The assigned driver was neither reachable by call nor by WhatsApp at the provided number. We tried everything but had to forgo the 'services' of this dubious company and take a taxi instead. We were left with the payment we made to Mytransfers. We strongly advise against this company.

According to driver, he could only wait one hour from the time the plane landed. We landed at 12.15pm, stood on the runway waiting for a bus to take us to the airport. There we waiting on a long line for passport control. The drive wanted to leave and charge an additional $60 euros to wait for us.
We are very sorry for the situation descripted. Please note that as our policies states the waiting time is 60 minutes since the flight arrival time (or requested buffer time specified in the booking). We are not able to guarantee adittional waiting time as it depends on the driver's availibity and extra waiting time might incuur in adittional costs that must be arranged directly with the driver in that case. We regret the situation but the service was handled according our policies and waiting times.
Our driver Thanos was excellent. Very nice and personable. Spoke great English. He was more than a driver, more like a tour guide. Gave great local insight and information on what to do and see. Ride was very comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Driver did not wait for me to get through customs. Despite texting me he was there and I informed him I was in passport line. . I had to take a taxi.

Traveller Beware — Policies and Booking Interpretation Are Not Passenger Friendly Posting this review so other international travellers and families are aware of the risks of relying on MyTransfers for airport pickups. Our flight landed on schedule in Greece at around 1:00 PM during the busy summer travel season. Based on extensive international travel experience, and anticipating long immigration queues, baggage delays and slow airport processing, we had specifically entered our expected arrival/pickup timing as 2:30 PM while making the booking. Despite the heavy queues and delays, we eventually exited the airport almost exactly around the same 2:30 PM timing we had anticipated and entered while booking. However, after the issue occurred, MyTransfers claimed that because the flight number had been provided, their system automatically tracked the actual landing time and applied a strict 60-minute waiting period from touchdown — regardless of the pickup timing we had entered. They further stated that unless passengers separately request a “special pickup time” or “buffer time,” the company will follow its internal interpretation instead. This distinction was never made sufficiently clear during the booking process. By the time we exited the airport, the driver had already left stating that “my time was up,” leaving us stranded with family, arranging alternate transport at additional expense, inconvenience and stress after a long international journey. What was most disappointing was not just the missed transfer, but the complete lack of flexibility afterward. Despite several polite exchanges and even suggesting an alternative airport pickup or drop during our vacation as a practical compromise, the company simply repeated its policies and refused any goodwill resolution. This review is not about irresponsibly missing a transfer. It is about warning travellers that even when you carefully plan and communicate realistic airport exit timings based on actual travel experience, the company may still apply internal policy interpretations that leave passengers without transport for reasons largely outside their control. I would strongly advise travellers to obtain very explicit written clarification regarding how MyTransfers interprets “pickup time,” “arrival time,” flight tracking and waiting windows before confirming any airport booking. Unfortunately, this became a stressful and disappointing start to our first visit to Greece.

Please be advised that if a passenger requires a pickup time different from the flight's landing time, they must contact our Customer Support team to submit a formal request for approval. Unless explicitly confirmed by us, selecting a different time during the booking process cannot be automatically considered a "buffer" or a delayed pickup, as our system and drivers default to the real-time flight tracking to ensure synchronization. In order to investigate the specifics of your case and the communication provided, could you please share your booking number with us? Terrible. Took our money and did not provide a taxi at the time booked. Limp excuse, they came earlier and left us stranded. Rang the Spanish service centre they promised a taxi in two minutes but it never arrived in 30 minutes. Then said I would get no taxi and hung up. So very poor service centre too. Went with local taxi , no queue at 13:30, 44 Euro to city hotel. Why pay more than a local taxi for my experience?

My family and I took a trip mid April 2025. We used this company for our transfer from the airport to our hotel in the city. There was a marathon going on at the time so the driver needed to take a longer route. He asked officers blocking the roads and called his headquarters. Said it was too much of a detour and dropped us off in some random part of the city. About a 40min uphill walk to our hotel. Each of us had 2 luggage pieces… no type of compensation was offered. Please do not use this company for your transfers. The driver wasn’t polite or inviting either, even prior to noticing the road blockages. He road raged, honking and yelling out the window towards other drivers. Just save yourself the headache and impromptu gym sesh!

The driver was there on time to meet us. The minivan was fine. Just be prepared to walk 10 minutes with your luggage to the parking lot.
