Reiseverlauf

Miri made this such a special experience. We started with the Vespa explanation and driving test that seemed intimidating, but Miri supported us throughout and was very patient. She made sure we felt safe and confident on the Vespa for the tour. Miri was very knowledgeable and positive. Would recommend to anyone!
If you have no experience with a Vespa, do not do it. Better to book one with a driver to get the experience. They judge you on your first try in a parking lot and then put you in a car rather than give you the chance to pick it up.
You are allowed 2 trial runs after the full explanation is given. If you were told you could not go after the first one it would have meant you were at risk of potentially having an accident there on the training, something which we want to avoid for your safety. We offer you to drive a fiat if you are not able to drive a vespa so that you do not miss out on the tour.
Great tour. Mirella our tour guide was amazing-5 stars. Our only criticism is that a lot of time was spent getting ready to use the Vespas. We understand everyone needs to learn to use them and be safe. We just felt that process could have been more efficient and that way we could have had more time to ride. Having said that we would still highly recommend the tour.
Elena and Marina were the tour operators. They did a wonderful job making sure to explain how to use the Vespa's and ensuring everyone was capable of riding. If people were not comfortable on the Vespa there was a cute mini electric car that they could drive.

A wonderful way to see the countryside outside of Florence. We greatly enjoyed, Gabriel, our very knowledgeable tour guide. Care was taken to make sure we could each operate the Vespas safely (and an alternative vehicle was offered for folks who could not). The meal was very good. Highly recommend!

First the good part. The Vespa’s were very nice. They also had vintage Fiat’s that some of the others in our group selected, they were very nice. For those who weren’t capable of driving the Vespa, they had brand new electric Fiat Topolino two seaters that were available - super nice equipment and facility. Now the unfortunate part. 1) It was a 40 min ride in a bus to the facility, on the way back the bus had ZERO air conditioning. It was 97F outside and I estimate it was nearing or over 100F in the bus, miserable to say the least. 2) They had everyone perform a basic test to see who was and wasn’t capable of operating a Vespa. All fine and get that, problem is they let folks who were marginal at best pass and others who were fine fail. There were two gals administering the test and honestly, it was very unorganized so I think they got confused as to whom they were passing and failing on their sheet. I’m sure they’d blame it on “we have to deny scooter operation for people’s safety”, which is fine, but the process made no sense. Then after a long buss ride in a 100 degree bus they asked for a 5 star rating and took no accountabilty, just not doing it in this case. With a better bus ride and an organized evaluation, I’d still only give them 3 stars. Bottom line, great equipment and facilities, poor execution.
We are sorry to read this review as it seems we have been penalised in the rating for something that does not normally happen. There must have been unusual traffic for the journey to take so long and our vehicles are all air-conditioned so there must have been a problem on this particular day. As for the organisation, our guides are experienced and know exactly what to look for when deciding who can drive safely and with whom a risk cannot be taken. Maybe this wasn't clear to you on the day.
This Vespa tour through the Tuscan hills was easily the highlight of my week in Italy and an experience I will never forget. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the ride itself was both incredibly fun and beautifully scenic. What truly made this experience exceptional, however, was the staff. Every member of the team was friendly, patient, supportive, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable time. A special thank you to Miri, Elena, and Alex for guiding us throughout the tour. Miri was especially welcoming and helpful from the very beginning. She went above and beyond to make the experience memorable, even helping my friend and me take countless photos throughout the day. She enthusiastically suggested creative photo ideas, pointed out the best locations, and never once made us feel rushed. Her kindness and energy added so much to the experience. Elena was incredibly sweet and funny, while Alex was kind, encouraging, and always ready to help. Together, they created such a warm and friendly atmosphere that it genuinely felt like spending the day with family. Safety was clearly their top priority, but they also made sure everyone was comfortable, confident, and having fun every step of the way. One helpful thing for future guests to know is that you must pass a test ride before being allowed to take a Vespa on the tour. In all honesty, I found the turns during the test ride more challenging than most of the turns on the actual route. That said, be prepared for the possibility of not passing the test ride. If that happens, you may be assigned one of the automatic baby-blue Fiats instead. Guests who know how to drive manual and pass the manual driving test can also enjoy the vintage Fiat options. I appreciated that the staff took these evaluations seriously, as it reinforced their commitment to safety. The lunch pasta was decent, and the wine was served a little warm, but neither of those things detracted from the overall experience since the ride itself is undoubtedly the main attraction. I also appreciated the large selection of charming vintage Fiat manual cars available. My only small suggestion would be to offer a wider variety of Vespa colors, as the options were limited to red, white, and black. It would have been fun to see more pastel-colored Vespas available. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The beautiful Tuscan countryside combined with the outstanding guides made for a truly special day. Thank you, Miri, Elena, and Alex, for making this such a memorable part of my trip to Italy.
A great experience in the Tuscan Country side. Gabriel and Alex were fantastic guides and very accommodating. The lunch was delicious at the country farmhouse.

Very good tour! Good wine, good food, amazing views! Everyone was super friendly and made sure we were safe and comfortable. Miri took time to teach us to drive the Vespa and do a test drive before going on the tour. Water is available for one euro so bring coins! You will need the water. If you don’t feel comfortable riding the Vespa there are little cars that you can drive alternatively.

This experience was not as advertised and I would not recommend it for first-time Vespa riders. Our group had more than 20 participants with effectively one instructor leading the tour. The Vespa training was extremely brief and did not provide enough instruction or confidence-building for beginners. When riders struggled, the instructor was dismissive rather than supportive. Additionally, participants who were unable to ride were placed in a small electric support vehicle with no air conditioning, which was not disclosed in advance. The lunch was also very basic and did not match the quality portrayed in the tour description. Overall, the group size was too large for the level of instruction provided, and the experience felt poorly suited for anyone without prior Vespa experience.
We have a mix of experienced drivers and non experienced drivers who do this tour and often people who do not have experience drive the Vespa. It does have to be stated though that this is not a 'school' and it would be unfair to other participants if the guides were to spend endless amounts of time 'teaching' people how to drive. For that amount of people there would for sure have been more than one guide. In fact I don't understand what you mean by 'effectively'? Our guides give detailed information about how our vehicles work and need to judge well if someone would be at risk if driving the vespa. We feel that this is an unfair star rating.
