Giovani used a lifetime of knowledge to teach us about Florentine culture, politics and history. His engaging character blending humor and academic expertise brought the most important lessons on the birth of the Renaissance and the primary characters involved. A fascinating experience a person can only gain by walking through time with a gifted teacher such as Giovani. He whets the appetite to dive further into this time period and better understand art history. I gained a great appreciation for how these ‘craftsmen’ (as they were known then) became masters of art and influenced the civilized world.
Giacomo was a great guide! We had a very good tour with him and he was very knowledgeable of history of all areas we saw. I most enjoyed talking to him after lunch having an espresso! Seeing the real statue of David with his explanation was a wonderful experience!
Thank you!
This was fantastic. We had such a knowledgeable guide who steered us to all the most important artworks and explained the evolution of Renaissance art in Italy. Really inspiring and fascinating day.
This was the best way to see Florence! Our guide Giacomo was excellent! He was knowledgeable, nice, and knew how to navigate the museums and crowds to give us the best experience in the Uffizi and Academia. We highly recommend touring with him!
Giacomo was very informative and fun! He connected the pieces of art across multiple different locations and injected a lot of humor along the way. A great way to see the highlights of Florence in one day!
Best tour we did in Florence hands down. Giacomo our guide was incredible. He was fun, interesting, and engaging throughout all the museums, but went above and beyond to show us interesting unique features of the city as we walked from the Uffizi to the Accademia
Having Giacomo as our tour guide was a delightful experience. He was a great raconteur who brought focus and clarity to an incredibly complex collection. He moved us very efficiently through the crowded galleries; we rarely waited in line. By pointing out key features of many artworks, he helped us to more deeply understand the times when they were created. This guided tour was well worth it!
It’s a good tour, Susana (our guide) is very profesional, but I consider the tour too expensive. You should give your regular clients a discount.
Giacamo was an amazing host! Insightful, funny and had a wondeful Italian charm. He hit all the highlights in the gallery without feeling like anything was missed; every question was answered with grace. Showing hidden details in the work that I wouldnt have spotted in a million years. He even took us to his own personal favourite artwork which was great touch. The tickets reserved also meant there was next to no queueing which was very much appreciated on a 30 degree day! Giacamo also recommended a great local, family-owned lunch spot which had been open for 100years and the food was amazing! Couldn't recommend the experience (or Giacamo) more!
This is probably a great tour for art lovers who can stare at the same painting for 20 min while listening about its every detail. Unfortunately, that is not us. We also did not realize and appreciate that this tour is 100% about art and pretty much nothing else, so that is on us. Our tour guide (Giacomo) was very nice and humorous at times. However, we told him numerous times that we do not need very long lectures about every painting, but that request was pretty much ignored even through only a third of our group was pretending to listen. Others were just trying to wait out the long lectures while trying to find a seat.
