It was great not to have to wait on a long line for tickets. The audio guide provided a wonderful background information to the various exhibits in the museum.

Wear comfy shoes...busy up till the cafe appeared..skip the cafe..bad reviews anyway...2nd half much quieter.

Download and print the ticket? My phone was not working properly that day and the museum wouldn’t let me use the reservation number without the ticket. Finally called and a representative sent the ticket to me via email but I never got the self guided headset to listen to my tour bevcause I didn’t het that ticket which I had paid for.

The audio guide makes no sense, the selection is too huge! At some point, you reach your physical limits.

I am a travel agent and my clients took this tour and had a great time! They had a last minute schedule change and the staff was incredibly helpful and graciously allowed us to move the ticket to the next day. They were responsive and kind and were incredibly understanding of our needs!!

The Uffizi Gallery was a really good experience, especially if you enjoy art and history. The gallery is huge and there was so much to see, so I’d definitely recommend taking your time and doing the self-guided tour. There are so many famous works inside, including paintings by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael and Caravaggio. Some of the highlights include Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and Primavera, Leonardo da Vinci’s Adoration of the Magi, Michelangelo’s Doni Tondo and Caravaggio’s Bacchus. One of my favourite parts was the view from the windows. You could see Palazzo Vecchio and the Ponte Vecchio, which was beautiful and made the visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere inside was really impressive and it felt amazing knowing you were surrounded by so much famous art and history. There is an admission fee for the gallery, but I thought it was worth it considering how much there is to see. We spent a good amount of time there because the gallery is so big, and you could easily spend several hours exploring all the rooms. It was quite busy, but that’s understandable for such a famous gallery. The staff were helpful too, and the self-guided experience meant I could go at my own pace. I visited the Uffizi Gallery solo and really enjoyed the experience. I’d definitely recommend it for solo travellers, art lovers, history lovers, couples, families and anyone visiting Florence for the first time. There’s so much to see that I’d definitely recommend making time for it during a trip to Florence.
