Auf der Piazza del Duomo, im Herzen von Florenz, befindet sich die prächtige Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, gekrönt von Brunelleschis Kuppel, einem wahren Meisterwerk der Ingenieurskunst. Die Piazza della Repubblica wurde Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts als Teil eines Projekts drastischer Veränderungen im historischen Zentrum von Florenz angelegt und ist heute voller Cafés, Terrassen und Geschäfte, eine Erinnerung an ihre antiken Ursprünge als Standort des Forum Romanum.
Der Platz ist der zentrale Punkt des Ursprungs und der Geschichte der Florentiner Republik und behält noch immer den Ruf des politischen Zentrums der Stadt. Der Platz ist umgeben vom Palazzo Vecchio (dem Rathaus der Stadt), der Uffiziengalerie und der Loggia della Signoria – einer Skulpturengalerie unter freiem Himmel mit Kunst der Antike und der Renaissance.
Diese mittelalterliche Steinbrücke war die einzige Brücke in Florenz, die im Zweiten Weltkrieg von der Zerstörung verschont blieb. Charakteristisch sind die früher üblichen Geschäfte an den Seiten, an die Stelle von Metzgern, Bauern und Gerbern treten heute Juweliere, Kunsthändler und Souvenirhändler.
Besuchen Sie das UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe „Piazza dei Miracoli“ (Wunderplatz) in Pisa. Hier haben Sie die Zeit, weltbekannte Monumente wie den Schiefen Turm von Pisa, die Kathedrale von Pisa, das Baptisterium von Pisa und den Camposanto Monumentale (Monumentalfriedhof) zu entdecken und zu bewundern, allesamt großartige Beispiele romanischer Architektur.
Der Glockenturm, bekannt als der Schiefe Turm von Pisa, ist mit Abstand das berühmteste Gebäude innerhalb der „Piazza dei Miracoli“. Der im Jahr 1173 begonnene Turm ist seit Beginn seines Baus geneigt und gilt weithin als herausragende Ingenieursleistung. Dieses spektakuläre Denkmal kann vom Boden aus bewundert werden oder indem man die 273 Stufen nach oben erklimmt, von wo aus man einen wunderschönen Blick über die Umgebung hat.

Booked this excursion for 4 adults. We were picked up at the port and had the same driver for the entire time and a dedicated tour guide for the walking tour of Florence. Just the four of us! Great pictures at Pisa. Sis and B-I-L went in the Baptistry. Hubs and I enjoyed a coffee at a cafe. Tour guide in Florence was excellent. Giacomo was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed his insights. Had time for lunch at the rooftop restaurant in Florence. Back to the ship with no worries about time. Highly recommend!

Adriana was our tour guide in Florence and she was absolutely amazing! In a short period of time we walked through Florence and avoided crowds, tried amazing food and gelato at more lowkey spots and she was funny and engaging the whole time. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Europe. Also our driver Francesco was so accommodating and got us safely to and from our destinations quickly while navigating crazy weather. 5/5!
Small number of participants (5), a great driver and guide that set a nice pace. Go to Pisa for the tower, Florence for the beauty and much smaller crowds than our other stops.
Our driver and tour guide were both professional, knowledgeable and punctual. They were very empathetic and accommodating to a family that came ill-prepared to walk on the cobblestone streets of Europe, pointing out places to go to get out of the heat while the rest of us toured these beautiful cities. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic as he safely guided us to key areas while explaining the history of what we were seeing. They kept track of time, ensuring we returned to our cruise ship on time. It was a most enjoyable day. Just an FYI: I would suggest that if you are unable to walk long distances or walk on uneven surfaces this may not be the tour for you.
Well worth the time. We were looking for a good balance between walking and driving, and this was perfect. Our driver to Pisa and Florence, Micheal, was very friendly and informative. Our walking guide in Florence, jacamo (sp?), was also very friendly and informative. This tour takes you to the key sites and provides relevant information, however, it does not provide tickets to anywhere on the tour, which is what we expected. This is a quick way to visit places, and that was important to us since we wanted to get back to Livorno to board our cruise ship with plenty of time. To improve, add another 30 min in Pisa.
We had a fantastic tour! Starting from our incredible driver Simone who showed us a great time and made sure we were hydrated and always on time at all of our destinations. His English was excellent and we truly enjoyed Pisa and Florence. Our tour guide was wonderful too. We highly recommend this tour!
