Flexible Themse Flusskreuzfahrt - One Way

This was a short one-way trip on the Thames and Lee, the captain made it special. He was a tour guide advising us of all the history as we passed different landmarks.

I booked this for the second time, my first experience with this company being in 2023. That one was wonderfully done- which is why I booked this year (2026). Unfortunately, this year’s crew decided not to do a commentary, which was the main appeal of the prior cruise. The crew member was talking very fast just as we got going, and took a vote from the passengers on whether they wanted a live commentary. Apparently there weren’t enough votes, so we got a quiet, boring audio commentary. Far different from the first time when the crew offered live commentary with personally and humor, which was engaging and fun. This tour had none of that, and the crew member who took a vote seemed wrung out and not really interested in making the ride interesting for us. It was the last ride, and I do understand a long day, but I literally travelled 3000 miles looking forward to a fun river cruise like last time and ended up feeling I was ruining someone’s day. Of course I appreciate the crew for a safe trip; I wish it hadn’t been put up to a vote and that instead commentary and crew engagement was a normal part of the tour, which is what I thought I was getting.

An overall good-enough experience. Don't expect a luxury boat - very basic, but the ride from Tower of London to Buckingham Palace is only about 20 minutes. A good alternative to the Underground or a taxi if you're going that way. Not a lot of great sights along the river but a different perspective that you won't get on land. Probably the best part was the live commentary provided by the assistant captain; he was engaging, funny and very good. Worth the money, but just barely.

Nice boat ride with obnoxious narrative by crew member. Loud and unwanted. 67 decibels without narrative and 97 with.

Great experience. Staff all really friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the commentary. We had amazing weather so enjoyed the top deck for the majority but downstairs is glass fronted with massive windows and the view was even better. Snacks / drinks a little bit pricey be this is to be expected. Feedback FAO City Cruises London (Tried to complete online form but wouldn't submit) Hi we (my 7 year old and I) went on the City Cruises Boat in London today from Westminster to Greenwich. We had a fabulous time. It was one of my favourite experiences we've had in London this trip. However, I wanted to provide some constructive feedback. Again we had a really positive experice with yourselves. We got off at Greenwich with a plan to train / tube back to the city. There was a half marathon in Greenwich today which meant 1) it was insanely busy +++, soooo many people +++ 2) a lot of the roads were closed and it was almost impossible to get to the station as all of the many many people were being funneled to one point to cross the road to the station. My feedback would be that if you are stopping at a pier and you are aware of any special events that are on it would be super helpful for your customers (especially those of us that have very little experience navigating London) to know in advance as there is no way we would have gotten off at Greenwich if we knew what we were going to be faced with. To summarise. Great experience. Crew were great all really welcoming enjoyed the commentary. However, it would be super helpful to let customers know if there's an event going on / road closures / difficulty getting to the station etc if disembarking at a certain pier. Thank you.

Bring jacket. Show up early to get in que for good seats. Drink a hot cup of tea and relax! Guide commentary was PRICELESS!!!

Our trip from The Tower of London to Westminster was part of a tour package with Evan Evans, but was excellent, nonetheless. Boat was clean, staff was pleasant and the commentary along the way was informative and appreciated. An excellent and easy way to get back to Westminster or Greenwich without a lot of hassle.

Our experience with City Cruises London was terrible. We had bought the flexible ticket online, to be able to have several time options in which to take the boat. When we arrived at the pier, they told us that the times that appeared on the website were not the real ones, and that, in addition, there was a canceled boat. That we should come back 1 hour later. When we returned, we found out that, without notifying absolutely anyone of the people who had bought the ticket online in advance, they had canceled two more boats, so the only option was to return 3 hours later (without any guarantee of a new cancellation). The pier workers had no idea about anything, and they gave absolutely contradictory and wrong information. Obviously, I wanted to request a refund of my money, but since they had scanned my QRs the first time we arrived at the pier (before informing us that the boat was canceled), the online refund did not work. The pier workers insisted that I call Customer Service by phone because supposedly they could not process it from the pier office (no one answered the phone), and, only after insisting a lot, a lady agreed to manage my refund very rudely. In other words, they could process it from the pier...

We took the single rider from Greenwich to Westminster Pier, after spending time at the Royal Observatory. Having pre-booked, we walked straight to the pier, tickets were scanned in the queue and we loaded on-time. Seemed to be one of the less busy points to join the Cruise and widest choice of seating. Great commentary from Tower to Westminster Pier, pointing out various sights along the river and recommendations. Nice and relaxed after the cruise, recharged and ready to re-enter the fray of London.
