Not what we expected. From all the pictures it looked quite good but infact it was a tiny place packed with people and only a small dance area with ladies that were in their 20's probably 30 years ago? Not very enjoyable at all. There must be better choices!

Maybe not the best thing to start with, but I will start with the less positive points. The show was supposed to start at 20:00 and we arrived – as recommended – ten minutes earlier. Finally, the performance didn't start until 8:25. This waiting time was mainly used to sell (relatively expensive) drinks, in a way that did not feel particularly welcoming. In addition, the first impression of the musicians did not make it much better: the guitarist was still on the phone while the audience was already waiting and made little to no contact. He honestly came across as a bit uninterested and even a bit cranky, which makes you wonder if he really felt like it. The commercial aspect is also noticeable: the chairs are very close together, so you literally sit against strangers. That takes a bit of comfort away from the experience. But... once the show starts, everything changes. The performance starts with live music, followed by a first dance by a dancer. Although this part is quite short, it builds up nicely to the main act. And he really makes everything right. The main artist dances with so much passion, power and emotion that you are completely sucked into it. You actually forget all the negatives and are full of admiration. This is flamenco as you hope to see it: intense, sincere and impressive.

I have seen tablao flamenco and I was never too excited, but this was something else. The one dancer (I think there should have been more according to the description) gave all her soul, as did everyone during the performance. This was passionate and meaningful flamenco. On the other side the drinks are not included in the price, this is not specified when asked whether to order, but the price was OK. It's just that the girl who takes the orders and brings the drinks is extremely unpleasant. So is the main guitarist. They two looked so disappointed at us.

I was truly amazed by my experience at Cueva Zincalé. The dancers were powerful and full of feeling, the guitarist was excellent, and the singing was passionate and unforgettable. It felt like a real and authentic flamenco performance. I also appreciated how punctual and well organised everything was, which made the whole evening smooth and enjoyable. For me, this was not only entertainment. It helped me understand more of Andalusia, its history, its music, and the emotion behind this art. It gave me a deeper personal connection to Granada and to Andalusian culture as a whole. I left very happy and grateful for such a special evening. I highly recommend Cueva Zincalé to anyone looking for an authentic flamenco experience in Granada.
