Transfer vom definierten Treffpunkt nach Filandia, der Tochter der Anden in Eden, was in Quimbaya-Sprache als Quindío übersetzt wird. Wir besuchen ein privates Naturschutzgebiet, wo wir einen Pfad innerhalb des Subandenwaldes gehen. Dort können Sie eine Kostprobe der Artenvielfalt in Fauna und Flora der Kaffeekulturlandschaft bewundern und vielleicht Brüllaffen in Freiheit beobachten. Wir ziehen nach Filandia, wo das Mittagessen ein gastronomisches Erlebnis der Fusionsküche mit typischen Produkten ist. Spazieren Sie am Nachmittag durch die Hauptstraßen der Stadt und beobachten Sie ihre Architektur mit einer Vielzahl von Formen und Farben. Tour started with about a one hour comfortable van ride from our Pereira hotel with our tour guide, Augusto, and our driver, Jose Miguel. At the main square in Filandia we transferred to a "Willy," a Jeep, that took us to our "starting point" into the jungle. They offer different lengths depending on abilities. Guide, Alejandro, was very experienced, 11 years fighting the drug trade in the jungle for the army. We lucked out with a dry day, not many of these typically we were told. After our jungle experience, we went into Filandia for lunch (included). The food and the view were excellent. After that, we walked around town, visited the basket weaving museum (actually, this was intetesting), and a little bit of shopping before our ride back to the hotel. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Our guide Camilo was very knowledgeable and very enjoyed the tour with him. His English was perfect and he explained very interesting facts about the town. The visit to the weaving basket museum was very interesting. The town was very pretty and I wish I spent more time there. We ate at Helena Adentro restaurant and it was delicious and fun. Totally recommend this trip.
