Unter dieser riesigen Brücke überqueren wir den Fluss Chao Praya, um auf die andere Seite des Flusses zu gelangen und in die Grüne Lunge Bangkoks zu gelangen
Wie alle städtischen Flüsse ist die Geschichte des Chao Phraya mit der Stadt, durch die er fließt, verflochten. Der ursprüngliche Standort wurde von frühen Siedlern aufgrund seiner Fruchtbarkeit und seines Fischreichtums ausgewählt. Später, nach dem Fall von Ayutthaya an die Burmesen, hatte König Taksin seine neue Hauptstadt hier am westlichen Ufer des heutigen Thonburi angesiedelt. 1782 gründete König Rama I., der die östlichen Ufer günstiger fand, das moderne Bangkok und errichtete zu diesem Anlass einige der betörendsten Tempel der Welt. Später wurden noch die Kanäle, die es speist, berühmt, und Bangkok erhielt den Beinamen "Venedig des Ostens". In der Zwischenzeit wählten bedeutende westliche Autoren wie Maugham, Conrad und Coward den Chao Phraya als einen ihrer Lieblingsorte im Fernen Osten aus. Wir werden diesen Fluss zweimal mit dem Longtail-Boot überqueren.

Die Insel Bang Krachao ist eine grüne Oase mitten im Herzen von Bangkok. Dieser Großstadtdschungel ist tatsächlich von den oberen Stockwerken vieler Wohnblöcke entlang der Sukhumvit Road, Sathorn Road und Narathiwat Road aus sichtbar, den meisten Reisenden bleibt er jedoch unbekannt. Bang Krachao ist nichts anderes als das tropische Paradies von Koh Lipe oder Koh Kood. Es ist jedoch für sich genommen einzigartig und erstaunlich. Bang Krachao ist eigentlich eine künstliche Insel im Fluss Chao Praya. Vor Jahren wurde ein Kanal angelegt, der es Frachtschiffen ermöglichte, ihre Fahrt auf dem Fluss zu verkürzen. Bang Krachao wird gemeinhin als „Lunge Bangkoks“ bezeichnet, da hier eine große Menge an Bäumen die Luftverschmutzung der Stadt verschlingt. Rund um die Insel gibt es Tausende von Mangrovenbäumen und auf der Insel selbst gibt es noch viel mehr Dschungel. In einer sich schnell entwickelnden Stadt ist Bang Krachao ein Ort, der es geschafft hat, dem Wandel standzuhalten. Besuchen Sie uns also besser, bevor es zu spät ist!
Obwohl wir nicht an jedem Tempel anhalten, an dem wir vorbeikommen, gibt es einige Tempel / Sehenswürdigkeiten, für die wir Halt machen und die in der Liste der "Attraktionen" in der Gegend nicht aufgeführt sind. Wir halten an einer lokalen Hindustatue / einem lokalen Hindutempel, essen in einem lokalen Restaurant und vieles mehr. Lassen Sie sich überraschen
Der Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park und der Botanische Garten befinden sich im Bang Kachao Sub-District in der Provinz Samut Prakan mit einer Fläche von über 200 Rai. Dieser Ort wurde als Quelle für frische Luft, als öffentlicher Park zum Entspannen und Trainieren für die Menschen eingerichtet. Es ist auch ein Ort für die Ökosystemerziehung in Bezug auf Pflanzen- und Tierarten vor Ort und in der näheren Umgebung. Daher ist es eine Oase für die Stadtmenschen, die die Natur, die lokale Lebensweise und die Flucht vor dem Chaos in Bangkok erleben möchten. Das Merkmal des Gartens ist eine Kombination aus öffentlichen Parks, die die Landschaft wunderschön gestaltet hat. Es besteht aus Wasserpflanzen, einheimischen Pflanzen, die in Brackwasser wachsen und den ursprünglichen landwirtschaftlichen Garten, der der ursprüngliche Obstgarten war, bewahren können. Dieser Park und der botanische Garten sind eine grüne Wiese, die von der Regierung als „Lunge Bangkoks“ bezeichnet wurde. Auf einer Holzbrücke können Besucher in einer ruhigen und schattigen Gegend spazieren gehen Bereich. Außer dem Botanischen Garten gibt es den Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market, der jeden Samstag und Sonntag geöffnet ist (wir besuchen ihn an unserer Wochenendausgabe).

This tour was excellent and I would recommend to anyone visiting Bangkok - especially for people who have already seen the main attractions. Our guide Pike was brilliant and so knowledgeable, we really learnt a lot about Thai culture despite having been to Thailand many times. We really enjoyed visiting a temple without any other tourists, the kids loved the Thai boxing, it was interesting to see the rural areas we passed and we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the end. The day started so well: certainly, early rise for a departure at 7:30, but general enthusiasm of the 3 children for a green ride in Bangkok. What a disappointment!!! Here we go on poorly maintained bikes (speeds do not pass), with, to start, a good 15 minutes on an ULTRA busy road with trucks and scooters that brush us. It is difficult to reach the entrance of what seems to me to be paradise: the “urban jungle”, the “forest”. A huge scam! Terribly narrow paths, sometimes with a ditch of more than two meters and a road almost impassable on bicycles that are absolutely unhandling, very poorly maintained (speeds... decorative since they do not pass). The journey is ENDLESS to reach a fish observation point (we feed fish, so...) then a bird observation tower where Americans scream at the top of their heads so not a bird in sight. We are shown trees (we don’t hold anything back, especially since the roads are then either so narrow that we have to go down to turn, or roads by cars and trucks – so we focus on staying alive, and we clearly don’t look at the trees.) The ordeal continues: visit a temple in Ganesh, stop at a pseudo-Thai boxing school (a champion who won a tournament 40 years ago amuses the gallery, clearly a tourist catch), another temple, a local market... it’s endless, it’s terrible heat, we want it to stop! We finish with 20 minutes of cycling in full sun at 1pm on the road!!! If I had known, I would have stayed in Bangkok instead of giving in to this pseudo green trick. I bitterly regret this excursion: we finally returned at 3pm to the hotel, day totally shot for no advantage. You should absolutely avoid.
Dear Helene, Thanks for taking time to comment on every platform you can find. Translating your review to English I understand you assumed you've booked a walking tour instead of a bicycle tour. During the ride it appeared you weren't used to any traffic. Our guide did try to set the tour to your liking as much as possible. At least your family-members enjoyed the ride and the THB 500 tip you gave to the guide is actually the opposite of your review. I feel sorry you booked something and was obviously misinformed by the agent that sold you the trip. Hope you will enjoy the rest of your stay in Thailand.. Kind regards, Andre Breuer
For a second time we have choosen the colours of Bangkok by bike. And we were not disappointed, despite the very hot temperatures. Bas, our guide, did an excellent job, we felt anytime safe and enriched by his explanations. In addition to that we appreciated the tasting of several local products on a very nice, local market. The lunch was generous and authentic local food: excellent as well as the location!
