Familiennachtwanderung im tropischen Regenwald in Daintree

Beschreibung

At night, the forest transforms. Creatures that hide from the sun begin to stir — glowing eyes peek from the undergrowth, wings flutter softly in the dark, and the air fills with the chorus of crickets, frogs, and distant howls. You might spot a possum gliding silently between trees, or a bandicoot scurrying through the leaves. Spiders spin fresh webs across narrow trails, their silk catching the glow of your torch. Bats zigzag above, feeding on moths you didn’t even know were there. The shadows come alive — not with fear, but with fascination. You realize how much is happening all around you that daylight hides. Every rustle could be a harmless lizard or a curious marsupial. It’s peaceful, yet electric. You’re a guest in their world — a nighttime visitor, quietly watching nature’s second shift come to life.
Omg I want to go on a night walk now! How beautifully worded you captured the atmosphere perfectly. I am so glad you came on our tour so we could read your words. Bless you
Ben knowledgable guide who is very passionate! Loves to share his love of nature with the public and anyone who'd listen
Thank you for taking the time to review Ben and thank you for your kind words. Have a beautiful life
Eaten alive by mosquitoes, did not see any animals. Bring water it is incredibly hot. More commentary from the guide is needed about the plants and species in the rainforest as well as more in depth explanations of indigenous culture and history of the area.
Dear Natalie the family friendly walk is designed around families with young children. Perhaps you personally would have been better suited to the 7.30 Night Tour designed for adults, the extra 30 minutes is taken up in commentary where we talk more indepth about the flora and fauna we see, children have a shorter attention span than many adults. We are sorry you didn't enjoy our tour however, your statement "did not see any animals" is untrue. We saw 19 species on the 6th Jan including critically endangered tree frogs, the worlds largest web building spiders and 50 million year old reptile species. Whilst some adults aren't interested in insects, from our experience as parents and guides many children are fascinated by them. Commentary on indigenous culture other than the general knowledge we shared with you is protected by "intellectual rights' legislation and our immense respect for local 'Bama'. There are several excellent Kuku Yalanji tours in the area that speak of the worlds oldest living culture and connection to country. Whilst leeches & mosquito's are not typical at our location we supply insect repellant and water however, due to our 'Covid' protocols customers need to bring their own containers as stated on the site info. Once again we are sorry you didn't enjoy your tour even after accomodating your post booking changes and arranging a private tour for your mob, we do hope your child had a more positive experience. Ian
