Fahrradtour mit Pintxos und Getränken in Getxo (malerische Küste von Bilbao)

Had an amazing day with Diego He was so friendly, had great drinks and snacks. He took us all the way around Gexto, stopped when we wanted and was great information

We were not able to go on this tour due to weather. I gave it a 5 because the communication with the tour operator was very clear and timely. We were given a refund. The tour operator also recommended several places we should visit, on foot, while in Balbao.

Miguel showed us many different faces of Getxo, which was very fun to see. Also the warm welcome at the pintxos bar was a very good element of the tour!

We had a great tour with lots of information on the city and culture. Still - our guide was very flexible and we couls spend more time with things that were interesting for our small group. Great day!

An excellent bike tour with Miguel. We learnt so much about the history and culture of the Basque region. If like me you’ve not ridden a bike properly for decades then don’t worry, the few uphill bits were the only times I felt my legs complain, and they were fairly short. The tour was friendly, fun and professional. Highly recommended.

Miguel was a great guide! He reached out to us the day before to see if we had any questions and gave us tips for getting to the meeting spot. He was prompt and we got set up on the bikes quickly. The tour was wonderful! I especially enjoyed the fact that he had so much personal connection to the Basque region. I would recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys biking and wants to see the coastline. The pinxtos and wine were excellent!

Didn’t show up….. Didn’t not respond to our messages and didn’t pick up his phone. Not worth the gamble tbh.

I'm sure it would have been lovely IF anyone had shown up. Instead I got there early (as requested) and waited 40 minutes at the address provided. No one from Free Spirit would answer the phone. Eventually they did message me back to tell me the tour had been cancelled because there were not enough other people booked. No one had reached out to me to tell me this. THEN it turned out they'd accidentally booked me into the free walking tour of Bilbao (their paperwork even showed I'd paid for it!), which was also cancelled. THEN they changed tactics and claimed that the real reason it was cancelled was due to weather (it was raining) and that cycling would be too dangerous. Ok... But still no one had reached out to advise in this and, as you'll see in other reviews, there are no significant uphill climbs on this tour). THEN they offered me a bike rental for a self-guided tour after having JUST told me that it was too dangerous for cycling. On top of it all, the meeting place was at a restaurant that has been out of business for many months. Overall their response was "meh, these things happen sometimes". To be fair to them, they do say they are issuing a refund but I'm extremely disappointed to have spent so much wasted time (about 30 minutes each way from Casco Viejo plus 40 minutes in the rain) on something that they could have resolved by proactively communicating about.

What a great way to see Getxo. Our guide was great and kept us moving through our 12 mile bike ride. We had snacks and drinks at the end. Very worthwhile way to spend the morning.

Pintxos in an authentic, locals watering hole with loads of character and charm. And cycling through town and out on the open spaces and along the promotonries overlooking the ocean gave one fantastic grounding and sense of place, with several water taps along the way. A perfect way to do a self guided day-trip from a cruise ship; it’s a 30 minutes’ walk from the port facility.
