Verpassen Sie nicht die Gelegenheit, Dinge auf Korfu zu sehen, die normale Touristen nie bemerken werden! Es wird eine ganz andere Tour als die klassischen Spaziergänge durch die überfüllten Einkaufsstraßen, da jede Ecke der Altstadt eine Überraschung offenbaren kann. Gemeinsam werden wir die interessantesten Plätze der Altstadt sehen, uns über Geschichte und lokale Bräuche unterhalten und voneinander lernen -FAHRRADTOUR Track: Roadtrip, Stadtradeln (Neue Festung, Mon Repos, Altstadt) Entfernung: 12-14 km Dauer: 3-5 Stunden Hinweise: Besuche der Festungen, archäologischen Stätten und Museen sind NICHT inbegriffen. Griechisches Mittagessen kann auf Anfrage arrangiert werden und kann NACH der Tour stattfinden. Ein Transport mit einem Minivan von und nach Korfu-Stadt oder Hafen kann auf vorherige Anfrage arrangiert werden, max. 6 Personen. Für Entfernungen>10 km von Korfu-Stadt gibt es einen 10-15-Euro-Zuschlag, um die Treibstoffkosten zu decken

Unsere Tour beginnt in der Nähe der Neuen Festung der Stadt Korfu, einer venezianischen Festung, die zu Beginn des 16. Jahrhunderts schrittweise auf dem Hügel des Heiligen Markus auf Korfu erbaut wurde. Die heutigen Gebäude innerhalb der Festung wurden von den Briten während ihrer Herrschaft über die Insel (1815–63) erbaut. Die venezianischen Befestigungsanlagen wurden später von den Briten und Franzosen erweitert, um zur Abwehr eines möglichen osmanischen Angriffs beizutragen.
Schöne Aussicht auf die berühmten Wahrzeichen von Korfu, Pontikonissi und die Kapelle Panagia Vlacherena sowie auf landende Flugzeuge.
Mon Repos ist eine ehemalige königliche Sommerresidenz etwas außerhalb von Korfu-Stadt. Es liegt südlich von Korfu-Stadt im Wald und botanischen Garten von Palaeopolis. Seit 2001 beherbergt es die kleine archäologische Ausstellung von Palaiopolis

Der Palast von St. Michael und St. Georg ist ein historisches Gebäude in Korfu-Stadt. Es wurde von Sir Thomas Maitland in Auftrag gegeben und diente ursprünglich als Residenz des britischen Lord High Commissioner der Ionischen Inseln. Es wurde zwischen 1819 und 1824 im neoklassizistischen Stil erbaut. Das Gebäude beherbergt das Museum für Asiatische Kunst, verschiedene Wechselausstellungen griechischer Malerei und studentische Projekte der bildenden Kunst

We did a cycling tour of Corfu Town with Georgie and George, who are both really friendly and knowledgable. They took us to Kanoni and a lovely viewpoint over to Mouse Island and were happy to take photos of us. They recommended places to eat and places to visit. On bicycles we could cover a wider area and we stopped at a lovely café on the way. Their shop is in Dassia which was where we were staying, so they gave us a lift to the port in Corfu town where the tour started.
Georgia was a great guide and the logistics were well organized.. The tour covered the city and its history well. My family really enjoyed the experience.
Such a fantastic day with Georgia. She met us at the cruise port, and we started riding the city. We explored so much and had a stop for coffee. It was a great tour of Corfu and fun to explore by bicycle; we learned the history of the town as well.
Our family of 4 did a 3 hour riding tour with Georgia through the hill top villages above Dassia. George , her partner, kindly picked us up from our accommodation in Barbati and then dropped us in the Corfu Old Town afterwards. We booked 4 electric bikes which were brand new and easy to ride. Georgia also kindly provided snacks for us to enjoy once we arrived the small chapel at the top of the hill climb. We learnt a lot about the local Corfiot people and the history of the island. Georgia was the perfect guide and it was a great way to see the island with local knowledge.

Excellent tour of Corfu. We saw so much more than we would have by walking. Guide sent us excellent information on where to meet and was very punctual. Bikes were in good condition and information was excellent on Corfu.
We chose this tour by bike so we could cover a larger area of the town & get our bearings for exploring on our own. Georgia is an excellent host sending us very thorough instructions about where to meet her & providing cold water & a welcome coffee break. The cycling is very easy mostly on the flat. We stopped frequently & we were given lots of interesting historical information about the sights & also about present day life in Corfu. I would most definitely recommend this tour especially if you have not visited Corfu before.
Our Guide Georgia was very enthusiastic throughout the tour on bikes around Corfu town. Her knowledge about the history of the town was outstanding and we learned so much in a short time. The pick up and drop off from our hotel was on time and without stress. We would highly recommend this tour.
I love walking tours but they are tricky because the guide has to be able to tailor the tour to the target audience: the guide may drown you with facts or may just focus on the juicy stories. In this case we were a small group (3 people) and Georgia definitely gave us an interesting talk related to the history of the island and the old city without being too long-winded. The stop at the café also was quite refreshing and gave room to other discussions (e.g. what it means to live there after the tourist seasons). Also, thumbs up for the cold water bottle!
