Fátima + Sintra + Cascais Private Tour

I only had a few hours in the morning so did a private tour to Cascais with my wonderful tour guide Paula. She was professional and very friendly and I had a great time talking to her. She was very flexible and happy to adopt the tour if I wanted - Cascais is a lovely place. I thoroughly enjoyed my morning and made a new friend.

A really fun and educational tour, partly thanks to our guide/driver who had to tell the story in no fewer than 3 languages.

An Exceptional Tour Guide and an Unforgettable Experience! We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Pedro, and we could not have asked for a better tour guide or a better experience in Portugal. Pedro has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the history, culture, and stories of Portugal, and his passion for his country truly shines through. We learned so much while visiting Fátima, Sintra, Cascais, and Lisbon, and he had a way of bringing every place to life through his stories and explanations. What really impressed us was the level of detail Pedro provided at every stop. He pointed out intricate details, shared stories and explained things that we never would have noticed or understood had we visited these places on our own. Having him there added an entirely different level of appreciation and understanding to everything we were seeing. This was also a big, busy day with a lot of driving — at times close to an hour and a half between stops — but honestly, those drives felt like 20 minutes. The conversation was so enjoyable and Pedro had so much history and knowledge to share that the time just flew by. He was also fantastic with our kids, keeping them engaged and making the experience enjoyable for our entire family. As impressive as his knowledge is, what stood out just as much was Pedro himself. He was kind, patient, thoughtful, funny, engaging, and genuinely caring throughout the entire day. We never felt rushed, he was always happy to answer our questions, and he gave us so many great suggestions for places to visit, things to see, food to try, and ways to make the most of the rest of our time in Portugal. A great guide can show you a destination, but an exceptional guide makes you feel connected to it — and Pedro did exactly that. He made what could have been a long and exhausting day feel effortless, enjoyable, educational, and truly memorable. We are incredibly grateful that we had the opportunity to meet him. Pedro is not only an outstanding guide with an enormous wealth of knowledge, but an amazing person and an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. If you are booking a tour in Portugal, make sure you ask for Pedro. He’s the man! We would recommend him without hesitation and would absolutely choose him again if we return. Our “Lisbon ambassador” Pedro Alves was just beyond amazing! His knowledge about anything and everything, literally, was extensive! Not one minute passed that he did not have something interesting to share with us when we were in the car going from point A to B - about Lisbon’s economy, history, culture, sports, beliefs etc. We could tell this was his true passion, not just a job. Now top that off with a cool, calm, peaceful demeanor, and you have your cherry on top! We were traveling with 2 seniors who had mobility issues. And there were times when Pedro volunteered to watch my dad while we walked to a point that was hard for him to go with us. His suggestions about trying different local things was GREAT! We even went for an amazing wine tasting experience that he booked for us just a day in advance! And while we were at our wine tasting experience, he decided to treat us with the local pastries when we were done (which btw were delicious and we would not know to try them!) On our way to Sintra, he decided on his own that he would take a slight detour to show us the Western most point of Europe. We would have never known or even asked about this point! He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly even which store we should go to buy our souvenirs at Fatima (so MANY stores selling fake stuff!). I could go on and on about Pedro. We had a very wonderful day with Jorge! Although the trip was very fast, Jorge made sure that we had time to visit some local shops for souvenirs. Jorge was very kind and accommodating. We enjoyed our day!
