Generalife war der Ferienpalast der Nasriden-Emir, eine ländliche Villa neben der Alhambra, in der die Monarchen ihre Freizeit verbrachten. Der Cerro del Sol war der Berg, der für den Bau dieses Palastes und Erholungsgebiets ausgewählt wurde. Neben der Alhambra und dem Stadtteil Albaicín zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt, war es auch ein landwirtschaftlicher Betrieb. Darüber hinaus werden wir durch Gebiete der Alhambra wandern, wie die Alcazaba oder den Palast von Karl V., dem Kaiser, der im 16. Jahrhundert seine Renaissance-Residenz errichtete, nachdem er sich in die Alhambra verliebt hatte. Ein einzigartiger Spaziergang durch einen der wichtigsten Schätze des Landes.
Die Alcazaba, eine Festung, ist einer der ältesten Teile der Alhambra, ebenso wie die Vermilion Towers (Torres Bermejas). Es wird vermutet, dass es vor dem Bau und vor der Ankunft der Muslime in Granada bereits mehrere Bauwerke in derselben Gegend gab. Der erste historische Hinweis auf die Existenz der Alcazaba stammt aus dem 9. Jahrhundert und es wird angenommen, dass sie von Sawwar ben Hamdun während der Kämpfe zwischen Muslimen und Muwalladins [Christen, die zum Islam konvertierten und unter den Muslimen lebten] erbaut wurde.
Dann besuchen wir den Palast von Karl V. mit einer quadratischen Fassade und einem runden Innenraum, der eine besondere Akustik erzeugt, die Sie in Erstaunen versetzen wird. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich das Alhambra-Museum, dessen Stücke historisch unermesslich sind.

Awful company. I booked tickets online, traveled to Granada, walked and climbed for the Alhambra (25min walk) all to get there and not let me in saying I had no lockers. Turns out the Andalusian company on foot reserved my ticket for another day and not the one I had chosen. They did not respond quickly to fix their mistake and did not apologize. I travelled all the way to Granada specifically to visit this iconic place and it was basically for nothing as I couldn't get in. I don't recommend them. Book directly on the Alhambra website.
Sentimos sinceramente la experiencia negativa que describe. Entendemos perfectamente la frustración que puede generar venir expresamente a Granada y no poder acceder a la Alhambra como estaba previsto. My tickets were never sent to me and when we arrived late for reasons beyond our control, the guide and tour group had left . No one knew who the guide was or where or if he left our tickets for us. No one called, e-mailed or messaged about the tickets. When we we went to the information people of the venue, they informed us that Viator was not in any way connected to the venue and could not help us. After finding the phone number for Viator and contacting them they sent us our tickets by e-mail (1 1/2 hours late on a time sensitive item) we missed out on the most important item of the visit. Had the tickets been sent to me when I payed for them originally, it would have helped us in our quest to see this Unesco heretige site and avoided embarrassment and hours of frustration. As it is, we overpayed for the tickets and missed out on the most important part of our visit. Viator, you owe us money in the form of a refund. How easy would it have been to send the tickets originally instead of giving them to the tour guide. We payed for something we never received. This is shoddy business practices Give us a refund. The tour of the Alhambra is excellent, Rosa is a luxury explaining and resolving doubts, it is really worth the recommendation of Estela who was our guide for the Free tour that we did the night before...which in turn was also very enjoyable, interesting and fun despite the heat it was. Thank you very much girls!!!!

We did this guided tour with Amalia and had a wonderful experience in the Alhambra. It’s nice to meet people who are so passionate about their work and who pass it on with every story they told us. Recommended 100%
