Swotah Travel and Adventure organized and accompanied a three-week private tour through Nepal and Bhutan for my wife and me, and we were absolutely delighted with the entire experience. From the initial planning to the actual implementation, everything was excellently organized. The suggested places, tours, guides, drivers, hotels, and transportation matched our expectations perfectly. Our wishes and preferences were always taken into account, and Swotah always tried to make everything possible — which they did. During the trip, the team regularly checked in with us to make sure everything was going well and to see whether any adjustments were needed. When we both caught a cold for one or two days, a planned hike could be postponed without any problems, which we really appreciated. This was already my second trip organized by Swotah, and I would gladly book with them again anytime. A very special thank you goes to Elisha and Sam from Swotah, who took such good care of us throughout the journey and were always available, attentive, and helpful. I can warmly and wholeheartedly recommend Swotah Travel and Adventure to anyone planning a trip to Nepal, Bhutan, or the region. A truly excellent travel agency! P & K
My friend and I were looking for a wheelchair accessible trip to Nepal and Bhutan. These countries have been on my 'bucket list' for years. We were referred to Swotah travel and I couldn't have picked a better team of people. From greeting us on arrival and waving sad goodbyes at the end of our trip, they were with us every step of the way showing great kindness and so helpful as I'm in a wheelchair. They customised our holiday to fully accommodate my needs while still getting to enjoy so many experiences. Their response to my needs was so positive. "We will make it work!" they'd say, and they did. Nepal is an unforgettable country and although sometimes challenging for those with reduced mobility, I was still able to enjoy every minute of it. Bhutan is also amazing. It's whole ethos is equality and happiness. And it's beautiful although accommodation was sometimes tricky in a wheelchair. All of the guides and drivers were so helpful, cheerful and kind. They started to feel like family. One of the highlights for me was visiting the homestay family, eating home cooked food with them and seeing the children. I 100% recommend these guys to you. A big thank you to Ajay, Sijan, Sijil and the team
My Bhutan tour was an amazing experience. The journey was smooth, the tour agency was reliable, and the hospitality and accommodation were excellent. The people were very helpful, and the places we visited were absolutely wonderful. I truly enjoyed the trip.
Welcome back from Bhutan — and what a wonderful account of your journey! Thank you so much. 🙏 Bhutan is unlike anywhere else on earth — a kingdom that has chosen depth over speed, and quality of life over everything else. It is a privilege to be able to share it with travellers, and knowing that your experience from start to finish was smooth, well-supported and genuinely enjoyable is exactly what we work so hard to deliver. What strikes us most about your review is the word reliable. In travel, that is perhaps the highest compliment a guest can give. It means that what was promised was delivered — that you never had to wonder, worry or follow up. That consistency, from the first plan to the last farewell, is something our entire team commits to on every single journey. 🏔️ Bhutan also has a way of staying with people long after they return home — in the silence of the valleys, the warmth of its people, the dzongs rising out of the mist. We hope it stays with you for a long, long time. The whole Swotah team will carry your words with pride. Until we have the pleasure of welcoming you back — to Bhutan, Nepal, or wherever the next adventure leads! 😊🏔️ With warmth from Kathmandu, Ajay — Swotah Travel & Adventure
It was a wonderful journey visiting Pashupatinath and Muktinath. The Swotah Travel team not only planned everything perfectly but also stayed connected with us throughout the trip to make sure we were always at the right place and had no issues. They were extremely responsive, caring, and professional, and their constant communication gave us great comfort and confidence during the entire journey. Overall, it was a memorable and well-organized experience. Highly recommended to anyone planning a spiritual or adventure trip to Nepal!
Dear Sunil, Thank you so much for taking the time to share this — your words genuinely warm our hearts. 🙏 Pashupatinath and Muktinath are two of the most sacred places in the world, and knowing that your journey through them was peaceful, well-supported, and truly meaningful is exactly what we strive for with every spiritual itinerary we craft. Staying connected with our guests throughout their travels is something we consider a core responsibility — not just a service — so it means a great deal to hear that our communication brought you real comfort and confidence on the road. Your recommendation to fellow spiritual and adventure travellers is the highest compliment we could receive. We hope the blessings of Pashupatinath and the peace of Muktinath stay with you and your family for a long time to come. 🏔️ With gratitude from Kathmandu, Ajay — Swotah Travel & Adventure
We had a fantastic trip to Nepal and Bhutan and are more than happy to recommend Swotah travel. We decided on Swotah based on their itinerary and ability to customise as required. Additionally, the fact that they have a European representative makes communications so much easier as they will happen in real time and not time zone dependent. The organisation was pretty much perfect, with a few hiccups, but no more than what to expect for a longer trip and certainly nothing to complain about. The representatives were great, friendly and super helpful. The itinerary was packed and we're still digesting all the amazing sights and impressions, but overall, we would highly recommend Swotah, and we will most definitely contact them again if we decide to travel in that region again. For us, it was more of a cultural trip, but for the more adventurous there are lots of options too and judging from the amount of customisation available, I would say there is definitely something for everyone.
Dear Bolette, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review—it truly means a lot to our entire team! We're so happy to hear that your journey through Nepal and Bhutan was a memorable one. It was an absolute pleasure customizing the trip to suit your interests, and we're glad our European representative could make the planning process smooth and convenient for you. A few small hiccups are part of any long adventure, but we're grateful for your understanding and positive spirit throughout. Your kind words about our team and the overall organization really motivate us to keep doing better with each journey we craft. We’d be absolutely thrilled to welcome you again—whether for another cultural immersion or a more adventurous escape, we’ll be ready to create something just as special for you. Wishing you continued joy as you reflect on all those amazing sights and experiences! Warmest regards, Ajay
This review is for Pokhara leg of the trip. Left Kathmandu and travelled by 'tourist bus'. Took 10 hours in total - lots and lots of road construction work. Accommodation was the Heritage Suites - fabulous hotel, rooms beautifully furnished, staff friendly. Pokhara is nice. Next day was the start of a 4 day trek. Guide was Bijay and porter Sandji (hope names are spelt correctly) and they were excellent throughout. Reasonable amount of fitness required for the trek. Accommodation was as expected (do your research). Food was very good. Trek views were very good and spectacular at times. Returned to Pokhara and again stayed at the Heritage Suites. And again it was the tourist bus back to Kathmandu taking slightly longer
Dear Chris, Thank you for sharing your experience with us! I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Heritage Suites in Pokhara and appreciated the trek. It’s great to know that Bijay and Sandji provided excellent guidance throughout the trek and that the views and food met your expectations. We also appreciate your patience with the travel times and road conditions. We’ll continue to ensure that every part of your journey is as smooth as possible. Thank you for choosing Swotah Travel, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon! Warm regards, Ajay
