An excellent tour experience
This is an excellent tour. It's long and comprehensive, and it had something for everyone. You could wander round the exhibits at your own pace, attend interactive exhibits and take a tour. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable. The price covers the ferry trip, and you get a 3.5 hour trip for that. There are also concessions for seniors. You get the added bonus that the tour starts in Cobh, a very picturesque town to walk around, either before or after you take your ferry. One small recommendation: tickets need to mention the time of the return ferry. We only found that out when the guide told us.

Amazing active learning adventure
It was a beautiful day, and a wonderful way to spend 4 hours exploring and learning. A+++. Do the full outside loop first, then head inside.

Good experience, bring your own lunch
A great place to see and explore. It’s a quick 15 minute ride to the island and a little walk to the main complex. We had lunch in the cafe, but the selections were few and poor. One single slice of ham on the sandwich, no soup initially, no diet sodas, subpar brownies. The clerk was super nice and was working alone. Then we did the tour and learned a lot about the place. We toured a few of the buildings. The gift shop could benefit from having local crafts instead of Chinese imported inexpensive items.

We had a fantastic time today visiting spike island would highly recommend going to anyone the boat was super quick and easy and was such an interesting tour.Highly recommend getting the guided tour Rob was our tour guide and he was amazing really helped our understanding on what life was like !
