Completing the Everest Base Camp trek with Nepal Hiking Team was, without a doubt, one of the most incredible experiences of my life. From the moment we arrived until the day we returned, everything was organized with exceptional professionalism, making what could have been an intimidating adventure feel safe, seamless, and unforgettable. A special thank you to our guide, Ram, who was truly the heart of this journey. He took outstanding care of every member of our group from day one. His morning and evening briefings were incredibly detailed and accurate, so I always knew exactly what to expect each day. Every aspect of the trek was meticulously planned, and what impressed me the most was that there was always a Plan A, Plan B, and even Plan C for every situation. That level of preparation gave us tremendous confidence and peace of mind throughout the trek. Beyond his professionalism, Ram is simply an amazing human being—knowledgeable, funny, witty, patient, and genuinely kind. He knew when to motivate us, when to make us laugh, and when to check in to make sure everyone was doing well. If I ever return to Nepal for another trek, I wouldn’t even consider going with anyone else. As for the trek itself… words don’t do it justice. The Himalayas are beyond anything I could have imagined. Every day felt like walking through a postcard, and every step brought another breathtaking view that left me speechless. Reaching Everest Base Camp wasn’t just a physical achievement—it was an emotional one. The journey teaches you humility, resilience, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for both nature and life itself. It’s one of those rare experiences that genuinely changes you. I came home with unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships, and a renewed perspective on what really matters. Thank you, Nepal Hiking Team, and especially Ram, for making this the adventure of a lifetime. I cannot recommend you highly enough!
Man where do I start, this was insane Nepal Hiking team were incredibly well organised and Ganga made sure everything was flexible, getting up to Lukla we had delays and Ganga with his contacts managed to get myself and others up on a helicopter at no extra expense (impossible to navigate at the airport it’s chaos that connection saved us time) On the trek Santosh was phenomenal as a guide, he knows the region well the locals the route, he’s a great chat and an overall top guy. I became quite ill with a respiratory infection and he looked after and advised me in rest and recovery, he knew when too push through and when to rest at altitude super knowledgeable. I also climbed Lobuche peak which Santosh at his own expense joined me with Kunga the climbing guide, the climb was the hardest & most rewarding thing I’ve done and santosh’s extra support made all the difference, Kunga was incredible like a superhuman his skill and strength getting up was insane which at 6000m every movement is 10x more draining safe to say every complication was incredibly well navigated by Santosh with his experience and the quality offered by NHT, special mention to Paban who was also incredible. Safe to say if I ever come back I’ll trek with NHT again and Santosh.
I completed the Everest Base Camp trek and month ago in a private group. I genuinely cannot say enough about how well everything was organised and how incredible the team was throughout. From the very start, Gangga arranged everything seamlessly — logistics, accommodation, timing — all handled with care and precision. What impressed me even more was how he accommodated last-minute requests without missing a beat. Things came up along the way, as they always do, and Gangga handled every addition with flexibility and a no-fuss attitude. You could tell this wasn't just a cookie-cutter package; real thought and genuine care went into it. Our guide Bishal was absolutely outstanding. Knowledgeable, calm, encouraging, and genuinely good company on some very long and hard days. He set the pace, kept spirits up, and made sure we were always safe and informed. The EBC trek is no joke, and having someone like Bishal leading the way made a world of difference. Now — I'll be honest, I've fully embraced the "slowly, slowly" mantra on the trail. And the team handled that with so much grace. Bishal made sure I was never left alone on the trail. When he'd go ahead, our porter Laxman — who was already carrying some of our duffel bags — would walk alongside me and even take my day pack without hesitation. That kind of generosity goes well beyond what's expected. And Ramesh, our other porter, would regularly come back to check on us and help with day packs too. These guys carry incredible loads and still find the energy to look after you. It's humbling. What really stood out was the atmosphere the whole team created. It was lighthearted, warm, and full of laughs — even on the brutal days at altitude. That energy makes such a difference when your lungs are burning, head feels like splitting in two and your legs are screaming. You stop thinking about how hard it is because you're too busy enjoying the company. EBC is one of the hardest things I've ever done. But with this team, it was also one of the best. Highly recommend to anyone considering it — you're in very good hands. We are planning our next "adventure" and if we decide to go to Nepal, we'll definitely go with Nepal Hiking Team again
After spending 12 incredible days trekking from Lukla to Everest Base Camp, I can honestly say this journey would not have been the same without my son, guide, Vishma, and porter, Bepim. From the very beginning, Vishma always seemed to know exactly when I needed encouragement, when I needed to slow down, and when I simply needed to enjoy the moment and take in the incredible surroundings. He was constantly looking out for me—making sure I was acclimatizing well, feeling good, and getting the most out of every day on the trail. His knowledge of the mountains, local culture, and the people of the Khumbu region added so much depth to the experience. I also can't say enough about Bepim. Every day he carried our gear through terrain that challenged us, often making it look much easier than it actually was. No matter how difficult the day, he always greeted us with a smile and a positive attitude. His kindness, quiet strength, and incredible work ethic were inspiring. Watching him tackle the trail day after day gave me a whole new level of respect for the porters who make these treks possible. Of course, standing at Everest Base Camp was an unforgettable moment and a lifelong dream fulfilled. But when I think back on this adventure, what stands out just as much are the people I shared it with. The laughs over tea, the conversations on the trail, the encouragement during the difficult climbs, and the friendships that developed along the way are memories I will carry with me forever. I also want to thank Ganga and the entire Nepal Hiking Team for creating such an outstanding experience. From the first communication to the final day of the trek, everything was organized professionally and thoughtfully, allowing me to focus on enjoying every moment. Thank you, Vishma, Bepim, and Ganga, for helping me achieve a lifelong dream and for making the journey so much more meaningful than I ever expected. Nepal will always hold a special place in my heart, and a big reason for that is because of you. I would recommend Nepal Hiking Team without hesitation. If you're lucky enough to trek with Vishma and Bepim, you'll be in the very best hands.
We completed our Everest Base Camp Trek with Nepal Hiking Team, and we could not have asked for a better experience. As first-time trekkers, choosing Everest Base Camp as our first major trek felt intimidating, but Nepal Hiking Team arranged everything very well from start to finish. Ganga and his team were easy to contact, very responsive, and professional throughout. Ganga personally met us before the trek and again after the trek, which made the service feel very personal and well taken care of. We did a private trek as a couple and were assigned our own guide and porter. Our guide, Paban Panta, was excellent. He took very good care of us, guided us at the right pace, and helped us reach Everest Base Camp safely without needing altitude medication or feeling the effects of altitude too much. We truly credit this to the exemplary way he guided us throughout the trek. We would not do another trek in Nepal unless it was with him. Our porter, Ram Tamang, was also outstanding. He carried our bags from tea house to tea house with a smile and assisted us in every way he could, even walking with us during our final push to Base Camp. He has great potential, and we hope he becomes a guide one day. Overall, we would give Nepal Hiking Team, Paban, and Ram a perfect 5-star rating. Highly recommended.
3 adults ages ranging from 25 to 58 travelling to EBC for the first time in an overall group of 10. Nepal Hiking team were fantastic. Our guide Paban and the 2 assistant guides Siva and Dipesh were truly exceptional. As you would expect the hike and altitude were difficult but we stayed in great tea houses and hotels, we were efficiently moved around between airport and hotel as required, and had great food options everywhere. We were given great information about the sights along the way, and very detailed information about what we would do each day and how we should prepare. As happens on a hike like this some people had health and fitness challenges. Paban had great health advice and a well stocked first aid kit for those in need Bottom line though the group was a great internationally diverse group of people. We formed new relationships and had a great time doing something amazing This would not have been possible without the leadership, care and skill provided by Paban Nepal Hiking team was excellent
After spending 12 incredible days trekking from Lukla to Everest Base Camp, I can honestly say that this journey would not have been the same without my guide, Vishma, and my porter, Bepim. From the very first day, Vishma felt more like a friend than just a guide. He was always looking out for me, making sure I was acclimatizing properly, feeling well, and enjoying every part of the experience. Trekking to Everest Base Camp is physically demanding, but his calm confidence, knowledge, encouragement, and sense of humor made even the toughest days manageable. He shared so much about the mountains, local culture, and the people of the Khumbu region that I felt I gained a much deeper appreciation for Nepal than I ever could have on my own. I also cannot say enough good things about Bepim. Every day he carried our gear through steep climbs, rocky trails, and high-altitude conditions that challenged all of us, yet he always greeted us with a smile. His kindness, positivity, and incredible work ethic never went unnoticed. Watching him tackle the trail day after day with such determination was genuinely inspiring. What started as a trekking trip became so much more because of these two men. By the end of the journey, I felt like I was saying goodbye to friends rather than members of a trekking team. Standing at Everest Base Camp was an unforgettable moment, but many of my favorite memories are the conversations, laughs, and shared experiences along the trail with Vishma and Bepim. Thank you both for helping make a lifelong dream come true. Your professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made this one of the most meaningful adventures of my life. I will always remember this trek, and a big reason for that is because of you. I would recommend Nepal Hiking Team without hesitation, and if you're lucky enough to have Vishma as your guide and Bepim as your porter, you're in excellent hands. Thank you again to guide Vishma, porter Bepim and owner Ganga for a truly amazing experience, I would highly recommend!
We had an amazing time on our trek! We went to EBC via Gokyo Lake and the Chola Pass. Our guide Anis was great. He took such good care of us and did a great job leading the trip. He made the hard days a lot easier and was very supportive and communicative. Anis actually saved our trip and made sure we started on time with getting us on the last flight of the day to Lukla after delays. The views were breathtaking and well worth every step. I highly recommend doing this trek and just not going straight to Basecamp. We saw amazing lakes, mountains, creeks, forests, snow and ridges. The planning is as very easy and we were well taken care of by Anis and the team. Will be using them in the future for other treks and adventures. Thank you Anis and the team.
We completed the 9-day trek to Everest Base Camp with Nepal Hiking Team, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful, answering all of our questions before we arrived in Kathmandu. Our lead guide, Arjun, and assistant guide, Ganesh, were the true stars of the journey. They cared for us like family and ensured every detail was taken care of throughout the trek. Arjun was attentive, resourceful, creative, and incredibly patient, always adapting to the needs and circumstances of the group. One thoughtful touch that stood out was Arjun pairing each trekker with a porter for the challenging stretch from Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp. It made a significant difference and was greatly appreciated. He also kept everyone's spirits high with his sense of humor and witty jokes, making the trek even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team, especially Arjun and Ganesh, for anyone planning the Everest Base Camp trek.
Fantastic hiking with Nepal hiking team everything sorted out and all questions answered promptly by Ganga loads of advice lovely hotel in Kathmandu before and after the trek. On the trek itself we were looked after by our guild's Indra and binod and our hard working shepers Birtaman and Thile. Indra was very hard working and informative of the routes and mountains we encountered also sorting the best Teahouses and best rooms available would definitely use him again on our next trip to The Himalayas next year if he's available but he's probably in big demand. Teahouses were better than expected but some people in other groups struggled with expectations food all great except the last hotel in Lukla and a gas leak on our corridor was an issue the owners of the hotel dismissed as not a risk so we took charge and turned off the valves, our group and one from Sydney put in a complaint on return to Kathmandu and Ganga said he'd have a Word or change accommodation in Lukla for future trips . Overall a great experience with some lovely new friends we will keep in touch with from across the Globe 🌎 😀
