It was a no show.
We signed up the morning of our tour. Got the confirmation ticket, etc. Used their directions to the mtg point. Was 15 minutes early and waited 15 minutes after. No one showed up. We left a chat message and called the tour operator, got no response. After we figured out no one was coming, we went to Lucerne’s tourist office to make sure we didn’t make a mistake on the meet up location. We did not. Now we will pursue a refund from Viator.

Hi Anne. I am sorry about this but you didnt show up! We were waiting for you with the other part of the group for about 10 min but you never came to the meeting point. We have sent the refund already.

Brief history of Lucerne Old Town
It was a pleasure to have Luis as my guide, he was cheerful and told me some history and interesting facts.
As only one hour you don't get to see everything and a lot of information was about where to eat and what restaurants sell good local fare. This was probably useful but not what I expected from tour.
Overall an interesting hour's tour.

Hi Debra. Thanks for the comment. This is a one hr. orientation tour and the idea is to provide as much of local information as possible in one hr. We share most important historical information together with possible activities in the city and its surroundings which might be interesting for you to do. IF you had any specific question about any particular fact of the swiss life and/or history, then you were welcome to ask at any time during our tour. We wish you a very nice European trip! :)

Fantastic tour!
Luis was a fantastic guide! He knew everything about Lucerne, the little tidbits that helped make the trip better even after the tour. Well worth doing!

Lucerne - A BEAUTIFUL CITY
I selected a Viator walking tour of Lucerne as I found that this is a great way to learn about a city I visit.
My guide was Luis. He was excellent. His knowledge of Lucerne was second to none. It turned out to be a private tour as I was the only person on that tour.
I recommend this tour. The boat ride was 1 hour around the lake and the views were spectacular.

Walking tour of Lucerne with guide and boat cruise.
Luis, our guide was lovely! It was a very personalized tour in that he kept the guest numbers low. There was only us 2, and one other family of 4. Luis was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about this beautiful city. He answered all our questions with ease. We highly recommend this tour!

Walking, boating, and wine tasting!!
We had a delightful day with Luis starting off with a boat ride and commentary of Lake Lucerne. We had asked about a wine tasting at one of the vineyards and while other companies couldn't pull it off, Luis did! We took a beautiful walk up the cobblestone roads and thru the neighborhoods to get to the Ottiger Winery. We sat outside in the vineyard to begin the wine tasting and then make our way into the tasting room to sample many more bottles of wine along with local cheese, grapes and pastry. We had the best time and some beautiful pictures taken by Luis. From there we boarded a bus and took in some of the great views of the city. A perfect and very personalized day! We received the pictures two days ago and were beautifully done. Highly recommend Luis' tours!
