Personal, vibrant, and a fun and yummy way to learn!
A real treat! Molly is amazing. Very informative and selected amazing stops, with great food and drink choices. Highly recommend!
We try to do a food tour in every city we visit, and this is easily one of the best we've ever done. Molly is a native Melbournian, a 2nd (or maybe 3rd?) generation foodie, and has spent her life steeped in Melbourne hospitality culture. So she knows good quality food and coffee. This isn't one of those tours what you go to three random "representative" restaurants. This is a stroll through the largest open air market in the southern hemisphere, sampling fresh produce, seafood, cheeses, cured meats, wine, and craft beer, all while getting a fascinating history of the market and the people working in it. There is a delicious lunch in there as well but I found it the least interesting part of the day. Molly is a fantastic and engaging tour guide; she is so knowledgeable and has great stories, including, but not limited to, Australian politics, the history of Melbourne coffee culture, and ghosts. If we had more time, I would have done her coffee tour as well (I also would have bought all the food we sampled 😂). Can't recommend her highly enough!
This was one of the best tours my wife and I have been on in our travels. Molly was an awesome guide, showing us great spots and insights around Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Market. Her knowledge of the neighborhood and the vendors added to the experience. The food was fresh and provided a variety. The drinks, coffee and wine/beer options were thoughtfully planned. Would recommend this for anyone, and especially those in the first few days in the city, as the recommendations on places to go for foodies is great.
Molly customized our tour to best fit our needs. She was knowledgeable about the food and culture of Mebourne/Australia. Food and drink was awesome!
Molly was a wonderful guide for this tour that included a cafe stop, several stops & tastings in the Queen Victoria Market, a small lunch at an interesting Japanese restaurant, ending with an adult beverage at a local brewery in the market. Very well organized & fun! Only little hiccup was where to meet because of the street numbers.
Molly is a super guide and it was a lot of fun with her. Thanks for the good explanations!! Greetings to Molly.
Had a fantastic time exploring the market and trying some amazing foods. Also the host Molly was super friendly and engaging.
Thank you for joining the tour Josh, glad you had a great time!
We had the best time on our tour this morning with Molly. We loved finding all of the little places that she took us to and learning about the history and what makes each place so special. Lunch was delicious and there were so many tasting places along the way which were all great. Thank you Molly and we would highly recommend her tour for everyone.
Was so nice to meet you Wendy! Thank you so much for joining the tour!
I can’t recommend Taste of Melbourne Tours enough – it was honestly one of the best things I’ve done in the city. From the get-go, our host Molly made everyone feel welcome. She’s warm, funny, and clearly knows her stuff when it comes to Melbourne’s food and drink scene. We wandered through laneways I’ve never noticed before, ducking into cosy cafés, cool little bars, and hidden eateries that I’d probably walk right past on my own. Every stop felt like a discovery! One of the nicest surprises was how friendly everyone on the tour was. It didn’t take long before we were all chatting like old friends – there’s something about bonding over great food and drinks that just brings people together. If you're into local flavours, good vibes, and want to see a side of Melbourne that most people miss, this tour is a must. Molly made it feel like we were being shown around by a friend who knows all the city’s best-kept secrets. Loved every minute of it!
Wow! What a review - thank you so much!! Really appreciate the kind words. Hope you had a great time in Melbourne!
