Wir verlassen Marrakesch um 08:00 Uhr in Richtung der Küstenstadt Essaouira. Diese alte portugiesische Stadt überrascht mit architektonischen Architekturen und Gewehren des blauen Fensters, die auf das Meer gerichtet sind. Sie halten zunächst an dem Hafen, der im 18. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde und Tumbuktu genannt wurde, da er Afrika mit Europa und Amerika verbindet. Es ist ein lebhafter Ort, weil Fischhändler mit ihren bunten Fischerbooten zum Hafen zurückkehren. Sie besuchen dann die Skala. Diese für militärische Zwecke gegründete Stätte bewahrte die Stadt vor Angriffen mit einer Sammlung von Bronzekanonen, die sich am Meer orientierten. Sie erkunden die portugiesischen Wälle und überqueren die Gassen der Medina. Als UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe ist die Medina von Essaouira ein Beispiel für eine ummauerte Stadt des 18. Jahrhunderts. Seine Souks zeigen alle Arten von Kunsthandwerk: Teppiche, Wollkleidung, Aromaprodukte, Schmuck, Holzdekorationen…
