Essaouira Kochkurs

It was a wonderful cooking event. We walked through the market to Khadija and Hussein's house and did some shopping along the way. At their place, we were offered tea, and then we got started. Khadija showed us how to prepare two different flatbreads and chicken with various spices. Delicious! We then received the recipe via WhatsApp so we could try it at home. It was very interesting, and we had very kind hosts.

This was an excellent experience in a famiy home allowing you to get the understanding of Moroccan cooking. The meeting instructions were straightforward, arriving by taxi. Hussein and Kadija were lovely hosts, first shopping locally for ingredients, followed by a cooking lesson on tea making, bread making, warm salads and a sweet lamb tagine. We had a great meal - we couldn't eat it all!

Very nice experience with our daughters aged 15 and 12. We felt very welcome. and have really learned something about the rich Moroccan cuisine. Recommended!

We loved the cooking class. The family doing the cooking class is very sympathetic and we were allowed to choose what we want to cook at first, which was also very great. The cooking was fun and we felt right at Kadija and her husband's home. We would recommend it to anyone!!!:)

We were incredibly warmly welcomed by Khadi and Hussein at their beautiful home. We cooked a very delicious tajine and were shown all the steps and spices. We will never forget this experience – it was a very special evening for us!

This cooking class was a wonderful and authentic experience. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and cooking in their home made it feel very special. The balance between helping and observing was perfect – never too much or too little. Both hosts speak great English, so communication was smooth. Highly recommended!

Wonderful opportunity to meet a very genuine local family and experience their food and hospitality. There were 4 couples in our group and we all hit it off immediately. Our hosts were friendly and warm and welcomed us in to their home to cook and eat a meal. The food and techniques matter, of course, but that really took second place; as it was the people that made the experience special. Probably the highlight of our trip and will live with us for years to come. Thank you so much.

There are not words to describe how meaningful and beautiful our experience cooking with Khadija and her family was. She and her husband were so welcoming and warm, immediately making us feel like family. Her husband even walked us home at the end of the night to make sure we got there safely. The food was delicious and ever so plentiful. It was very likely the best night we spent in Morocco. I attended their cooking class with my 12-year old daughter and we both agreed that it was a night we will never forget! Do not hesitate to book yourself in for this experience. You will not regret it!
