Tagesausflug nach Essaouira, dem ehemaligen Mogador, das auf einer felsigen Halbinsel erbaut wurde, mit seinen Wällen am Ozean, seiner Medina in Weiß- und Blautönen, seinem geschäftigen Hafen und seinen langen Sandstränden. Die Geschichte von Essaouira reicht bis ins 8. Jahrhundert v. Chr. zurück. Die Phönizier hielten dort auf der Straße des Äquators an. Der eigentliche Gründer der Stadt war der alaouitische Sultan Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah, der Theodore Cornut, Architekt und Schüler von Vauban, mit dem Bau betraute bei der Auktion. An den Docks reparieren Fischer die roten Netze. Genießen Sie die im Freien gegrillten Sardinen in den kleinen Restaurants des Hafens und entdecken Sie dann die Sqala du Port, eine zinnenbewehrte Bastion, die zum Schutz des Hafens und der Stadt errichtet wurde. Mohammed is a good, funny and wise person. He picked us up from our residence and took us back there The whole way, he was very courteous, told jokes, talked about local traditional dishes, and recommended places where we could enjoy good Moroccan food. I recommend him to everyone!

We did this tour through our Riad, our guide Youness Knob was very helpful during the trip but also left us time to explore on our own, his explanations were interesting. A big thanks to the driver Said, who for the return took us to a different place from the pick up at our request!

Positives: Punctual pickup and comfortable van with AC. Our ‘guide’ was Mustafa, he sent us a message with a list of the best places to visit. We had around 4 hours to explore which was just enough time to go horse riding on the beach too! Negatives: On the return journey the coach was overbooked and we had to sit at the front next to the driver. This was not great planning. I was also pressured to write a review while I was in the coach. I was 12 minutes late to the pickup point due to an issue finding a taxi back and felt bad for holding up the group for 12 minutes so I agreed to write a review but Mustafa insisted I write a review immediately. He did this to many others too and wanted to see we had submitted the review. Thankfully reviews can be edited and it’s accurate now. Had a great time on this day trip. We stopped at a rest stop and grabbed breakfast (fast service). Plenty of places to sit and eat, as well as a small selection of animals (chickens, birds ,ducks ,goats, ostrich) then continued on. We also stopped at an argon oil cooperative ‘Cooperative Marjane’ which had a demonstration of how the oil is made and all of the products they sell. It was busy and obviously for tourists, but interesting nonetheless, they had products I didn’t see anywhere else.

Yasin Finishing the trip from Morocco and I have to say that the experience was incredible. Surprisingly positive journey from beginning to end. I have traveled to more than 20 countries, but I confess that I was afraid of the safety and cuisine of Morocco, but I was surprised, what an incredible experience and full of good memories. Our guide was essential for making this trip perfect from start to finish. Extremely safe country, especially for us women who are afraid to visit an Arab country. The cuisine amazing too, we ate well every day, indicate to everyone the local cuisine. Come with an open heart to meet the people of Morocco and to meet a new culture. If I could give a tip, I would say to hire the guide Yasin, he guaranteed that our experience was 100% from the beginning to the end, with his care, attention and dedication to his work. Thank you 🙏🏻
