This was an excellent introduction to the town of Ermopolis. Over two hours Dimitris our knowledgeable guide took us to the main sites and gave us some great historical insights.
Great tour with Dimitri. He guided us around the key parts of the city and shared a lot of historical facts plus details about live in Ermoupoli. I felt it was a good way to learn about the city. There are stairs and hills involved but should be accessible for most people.
Dimitrios is a native from the island of Syros and we enjoyed listening to the history of Ermoupolis. It’s a beautiful little town with rich culture and history.
A really great and interesting tour of Ermoupoli, visiting some of the most important places of the whole of Greece while learning about the importance of Syros' rich history. Dimitris was very kind, professional and informative, providing water bottles for the group and answering all of our questions. I would definitely recommend booking this tour if you want to get to know this city better. You will be very surprised by the amazing history this town and island have!
Dimitris is a very good and professional guide. A native of Syros who provides a real feel for the island. Our tour took place on a cool day with slight rain so we were the only two people on the tour. He provides a tour with much historical information but not overwhelming detail. Both of the churches and especially the theater are well worth visiting even without a guide but it was a much more interesting and educational experience with Dimitris as our guide. There is a fee of only 1 euro per person to enter the theater, there are no other fees and includes some sweet treats at the end to taste that are included in the tour. It was just the two of us and we requested a shorter tour due to our schedule, he still included all the stops in about 80 minutes which was perfect for us. This tour is best for those interested in the history of the town from a knowledgable and engaging guide.
It was completely great! Demetri was great. He answered every question and told us about things we didn’t think to ask about.
Spent a very interesting couple of hours walking round Ermoupoli with our guide Dimitri. We visited various attractions around the town that we would never have seen on our own. Dimitri was informative and very passionate about the island. I loved seeing the ornate Greek Orthodox churches and the Theatre. The highlight was an original El Greco icon hanging in a small but beautiful church.
Lots of fun and learned a lot of history. While many of the locations are accessible on our own, we were able to learn a lot more about the cultural significance of each stop from Dimitri.
